Bobby did not make it adjustable I might change that and the magwell is a Dawson Ice 2011. The gun should be complete in a few more days, it would be ready now but I keep finding little stuff to change for the better.

Main difference between rifle and pistol ammunition is lube and case trimming. Other than that, the inherent danger is the same. understood, however I do not load rifle on a progressive so for me I know how what goes into each case because I put it in there. On my progressive the machine does it and I can only look an check.

Some comps are designed for minor loads, most for major. Some work ok for both. hs6 is a great powder to use because it has a lot of gas. anyway..the trick to hs6 and other powders is as you take away extra case volume the chamber pressure goes down and the explanding gasses increase untill exiting through the top of you comp. That is why 7.0 grs behind a 124gn bullet MIGHT not be as soft in the hand as 8.5grs behind the same bullet...

To answer a little of you question about the dots. I have found it hard to fine tune loads with a slideride dot. That could be just me, but he movement of a slide mounted optic doesnt give that same visual feedback I would like to see. When you choose the optic keep in mind some move because of how it is mounted. On the other hand a plus to slideride systems is you can zero and make almost no changes in holds at different distances. I am rambling now..

I have, I had a friend with a 30-06 bolt gun that would not hit a barn at 20 yds. He was shocked at the difference a recrown and some nicely loaded bullets made. Now he comes by a few weeks before hunting season for 100 new ones. I will not load pistol rounds, I can watch the powder go in the rifle rounds as the are done on my single stage.
