  1. Howard is correct! Be prepared for a shoot-off style stage on the rifle range! It's more fun than we should be allowed to have but we're going to do it anyway. Furthest shot for this match will be 75 Yds or less on 8" rifle plates free standing. This is a high speed, low drag event. FAST & straight forward. Tons of fun for veteran 3-Gunners & perfect for beginners. Dave - come to Factory division with that 1x, we have cookies.

  4. Charles & 3GN - This is nothing less than AWESOME! I'm very excited about the new venues & I know a lot of other people that are excited about it too. Thanks for setting this up for us. The Midwest Regional last year down in Kentucky was one of my all time favorite 3-gun matches that I've ever shot, so I'm looking forward to shooting the new matches in the Mid-Atlantic & East Coast area! Mike
  5. +1 for the Invictus DeTurk vest. easy to use, very versatile, strong, & top notch customer service.
  6. Here's a link to a video a friend made during the staff shoot last year:
  7. Yes. Similar to 3-gun, but with rifle only. Targets have historically ranged from 3 yards to 200 yards (200 yards on 1 stage only). Target sizes vary from static Clay birds to full size IPSC (both paper & steel). There will be fast "hoser" stages as well as accuracy. I would imagine the variety in coarse of fire will test many different shooting positions & styles.
  8. My $.02 ... Time Plus is a great way to score a match. It's not only easy & simple, but your score is your score (for better or worse) & is a true reflection of your match performance (you & your gear). I think it's the way to go.
  9. I think you missed reverse cowgirl rollover weak hand prone.
  10. Fogelsville, PA is about 15-20 minutes from the range & has a variety of hotel & restaurant options
  11. Get ready for EVENT #2 at Peacemaker in Glengary, WV!! Dean asked me to post this for him as a guideline for how much ammo to bring to West Virginia: Round count for each person (not per team) is as follows**: Rifle: 150 Pistol: 150 Bird Shot: 150 Slugs: 5 to 10 **NOTE: PLEASE Keep in mind this round count is per person, not per team. Due to the potential for optional targets on stages AND depending on how you & your team decide to shoot the stages you may personally shoot more or less of each type of ammunition. There can be a lot of variation in a 3-man, 3-gun team event so please consider this a round count guideline. Sorry, but stages will not be posted ahead of time.
  12. Glad you like it! Kevin & Chad are great guys.
  13. Most local hardware stores with a large variety of fasteners or ... hardware ... will have a variety of rubber grommets or other spacers for you to use.
  14. Well said Tyler. All types & kinds of 3-Gun equipment take a lot of abuse, especially if you train hard & shoot a lot of matches. Lots of great manufacturers support & cater to our sport, but do what you have to do to keep your gear running reliably & efficiently. If that means locktite, lock nuts, lock washers, or extra fasteners ... do it. And definitely have some sort of preventative maintenance program to check or repair your gear to keep it match ready.
  15. Likewise ... I'm using one of Dean's chest rigs & have been for a year, they're awesome. Actually just upgraded to the newer style so the gen 1 version will be up for sale in the classified area in the near future.
  16. This is an important thing that gets overlooked. Take the butpad off & remove the recoil assembly. Make sure it's clean & there aren't any burs on the pistol inside that tube.
  17. Thanks for the link Jesse. I emailed Chad at 3GN and he said they were working on it. There's some system challenges with people like myself that have or had multiple accounts. As one of those people, I got an email from RangeLog. They're weeding things out & consolidating everything so it flows better with their system. My letter said that my information would be completely merged by May 8th. They also listed the email contact@3gunnation.com for any quesitons or issues, but I'd give it a few days before you bombard them with questions about your scores.
  18. I've done it by accident & know of some people that have done it on purpose, seems to be no issues that I'm aware of.
  19. I think you're good. I chrono'd some 55 gr Hornady's out of a 17" 1:7 barrel using CFE the other day. 2 loads that I did where 25.1 & 25.7 ... they where real close to your 25 & 26 gr velocities
  20. I've heard of this happening before but never really heard any resolution to it. If you like the functionality of the BAD lever but want something better, check out a LANCER L15 lower with the built in bolt release. It's sweet!
