  6. Total point: 20209, best reflex 0.126 s when safe time was 139ms. I lost at stage 13, safe time: 128ms.
  7. Check this, they are light weight: Converse 8885 Foot Pursuit Black Tactical Boot http://www.lapolicegear.com/cofopubltabo.html
  8. Who won the The Light & Laser Invitational sponsored by Smith and Wesson, Crimson Trace and SureFire?.
  9. They won Production and Standard at Ecuador Open 2007 last week. Nice guys, Travis and Taran gave us some shooting tips.
  10. 11.8.3 All rule interpretations published on the IPSC website will be deemed to be precedents and will be applied to all IPSC sanctioned matches commencing on or after 7 days from the date of publication. All such interpretations are subject to ratification or modification at the next IPSC Assembly. Rules FAQ http://www.ipsc.org/ 4. Can I apply skateboard or grip tape to the factory grips, or change the grips, of my Production Division Pistol? Yes. See Point 20.3 of Appendix D4 in the January 2006 Edition of the IPSC Handgun rulebook. If you want to apply grip tape in a Glock, of course, you have to apply in front strap and rear strap, same to any production approved pistol.
  11. http://www.uspsa.org/rules/nroi_rulings.ph...dit&indx=26 NROI Rulings Title: Replacement barrels Created: 3/05/07 Updated: 3/13/07 Effective: 3/13/07 Rule number: US Appendix D9 2 Applies to: Pistol Ruling authority: Director of NROI Status: Released Question I have a Glock model 20 which is 10mm, can I replace the barrel for this with a .40 S&W and have it still legal for competition? Ruling "same as original factory standard" Is interpreted to mean equivalent to the factory barrel for that model of firearm in all ways including (but not limited to) caliber, chambering, length, weight and profile. This would make what you request illegal for Production Division.
  12. Please, let me know where can I find good prices of SP primers and VV-N320 or Titegroup powder in Miami. Thanks
  13. JP: With the Lee Micro Disk (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=441523) you can get 3.2 grains(0.27 disc hole) of TG. With 3.5 grains TG (.30 disc hole), Zero bullet 147 JHP, vel: 940 fps, fired w/Glock 17, OAL:1.110"- 1.120", Winchester SP. Miche
  14. Effect temperature has to do more with the bullet thrust (force completely expended in the first instance, which moves the bullet through the barrel then air. Powder temp. sensitivity). Now, exterior ballistic, in theory, aerodynamic drag is directly related to the air density flowing past the bullet. As altitude increases, air density decrease, so less drag more bullet velocity, assuming same inicial thrust.
  15. Houngan: As I said: As altitude increases, air density, pressure, and temperature decrease, so less drag more bullet velocity. I was talking about the characteristics of the standard atmosphere while altitude increase. You can see, it is not only a pressure change. Alellis wanted to know is if he go to shoot at a different range and it is 500 ft higher ( above sea level) how will it affect his load and is there a formula to figure out how much to increase/decrease the powder charge to maintain power factor.
  16. What all you say about not noticeable difference. In theory, as altitude increases, air density, pressure, and temperature decrease, so less drag more bullet velocity, but the temperature(lower) of the propellant (powder) in a cartridge at the instant of ignition can have an effect on chamber pressure. If a gun is sighted in on a target range at some temperature, and then is fired in another environment in which the propellant temperature is different, the muzzle velocity of a bullet can be different compared to what it was when the gun was sighted in. The difference in muzzle velocity because powder temperature. The temperature sensitivity of different powders varies from one type to another. Only the manufacturer of any type of powder can quantify the temperature sensitivity of that powder to a handloader. It´s not easy to find a formula to figure out how much to increase/decrease the powder charge to maintain power factor.

  18. With my Glock 34, I use 3.5gr N320, Remington Match FMJ 147, OAL: 1.155", velocity: 913 fps. PF: 134.2. If you want PF of 130, try 3.3-3.4gr. Miche
  19. Ted: On Jan'05, the Venezuelan government started a new process to grant the new permits to people carry firearms. For competition, the firearms were allowed, civilian shooters from Venezuela came to the 2004 IDPA Nationals with their own guns. For the FL Open 2005, on Feb.´05, a group of Venezuelan shooters came to the match with their own guns too. Miche
  20. crovello: Did you check at Wal-mart the encore glasses @$13. You can see it http://www.encoreeyewear.com/

  23. It´s a 3rd generation. Another view: Vince, one more question: Heinie front sight narrowed to 0.080", Is it permitted?
  24. Yes, it is A-grip from brookstactical.com. And I applied an orange paint to the heinie front sight. Thanks everyone.
  25. With the 14th edition rule was permitted this sight set. With reference to the Appendix D4 of the new handgun rule book, point 20.2, ".. the same type and kind offered by the OFM..", the Adj. Bo-mar rear sight and Heinie front sight in a Glock 17 is permitted in IPSC Prod. Div.? There is no alteration to the slide. Thanks, Miche
