Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Just like the title. If you have one tell me how you like it, cuz I like the price. If your going to buy them all save one for me until I can get down there! http://www.agparms.com/product.php?productid=16151&cat=260&page=1
  2. Ok so by "setting" the spring it's just getting that last round in sooner. For example, I have one big stick that when I change the spring I only get 27 rounds but after a week or two of use I can get 28. Thats all that setting achieves?
  3. I have never heard of doing this and have never had any problems with grames springs. Please fill me in on what this will achieve.
  4. What he said! I like to do it on a belt sander but it can be done on a bench grinder or with hand files. You should be able to copy the old guide rod if you did not through it away yet. Also make sure the guide rod you got is EGW for STI, that way the round in the head is the right size. The ones I use from EGW are number 9060 on the package. Good luck!
  5. ok now that I think about it I don't think it would work because this thing is big and would be in the way of the ejection port.
  6. Once again.....no joy for us lefties I spoke with the guy (sorry really bad with names) who gave thes out at Area 1 and he is a very nice and easy to talk to guy with a lot of great info on this product. If you got in touch with him maybe you could get him to make you a one off. Just an idea but mamma always said it don't hurt to ask!
  7. Yes It will work with the Quinn II mount I got one of these from area 1 and not being a believer I to just had to try it. I have a Quinn II mount and it fits but the tip of my thumb touches the mount. That didn't bother me. I really didn't give it a chance, I dry fired with it for one day and shot one Steel match with it, I took it off that night and it's in the parts box since. I was more concerned about messing up my grip for when I do want to shoot limited or the like. Either way at some point I would like to try it out for more then a day.
  8. Matt Mclearn has a new one. I dont think it's on his site yet so just call him (928)468-8984. Its the one that has M2i on it.
  9. I shoot the M2 Field. I have a 21" barrel because I didnt want to wait for the 24". I wish I would have waited, it's silly but I fell like I shoot the longer barrels better. I would not give up the vent rib for anything though.
  10. I have a Quinn II mount with a 3 port Hybricomp barrel and I dont get the exhaust gas on my c-more that I use to get with my upright mount. Now I get a little oil splater off the barrel and through my slide lightening cuts. I can shoot an easy six stages before having to wipe off the oil.
  11. This happend last Saturday: You know your a shooter when you wake up with a live round between your toes.
  12. Jason, I have shot one of your three gun match's. In fact it was my first three gun match with a lot of borrowed gear and I enjoyed it very much, so much that I made the plunge and have spent the last year getting all set up. First I did pretty well on the long range and still only placed 3rd or 4th, so I cant say that it decide the match. As I remember three of us tied the long range so technically it was some other stage or stages that decided the match. Then most important and fun factor for me is that three gun test your ability's with all three guns at distances and positions that are appropriate for each gun. From personal experience with only having shot three multi gun events I would say the biggest improvement to long range rifle is the ability TO SEE THE TARGET. I have very young eyes that are still working great and when someone places a black or white steel target in tall grass it gets hard to find. The other part of this is that, I THINK some people are always going to complain and maybe they should just practice. It's kinda like the guy (we all know one of these guys) who shows up every month and their gun doesn't work and they act all surprised like "why hasn't it fixed it's self" and they have excuses about bullet crimp and mags. I know I might sound harsh here but I do mean well and I'm only voicing MY opinions. I'm slower then some on close rifle targets and tend to do ok with the shot gun and long range rifle but I would never ask for the close rifle targets to be scored differently so that it doesn't decide my match. Instead I practice what I am weak at and I sight in my rifle and make sure my gear works. With all that said I want to add that scoring is the one thing I pretty much know nothing about. Looking forward to your future events. Dave
  13. -When you moved the weekend of your wedding back one week because you didn't want to miss the RO Course and she understands. (yes I did that) -When you get back from the match that day the Wife asks, so where are you shooting next weekend. -When you picked out the new car for the Wife you made sure it got great gas mileage, had four doors and a big trunk so you and your shooting buddy's could all fit.
