  1. Agreed! It always ends up placing too much value on certain stages (usually long range rifle) and devaluing others (everything else).
  2. I'm really happy with my 1301. I did need to do quite a bit of loading port work and even had the serial number relocated to open it up enough for me. But I ain't real good, so I need all the help I can get. I've fondled a few worked over VMs that were the easiest to load shotguns I've ever handled, but I prefer to shoot the 1301. Either way you're getting a good gun. Both will likely need a little work to get truly "race ready".
  3. Jeremy Moore is good people.......skip the email and say thanks in the comments section on your order. ;-) I order all of my once fired brass from TSS....as well as holsters, mag holders...... shell caddies, stocks, triggers, forearms . . . . Jeremy is a HUGE supporter of our sport! Awesome to see this!
  4. I kinda like the way they fall with the tabs in the back, doesn't matter where you hit it, it goes down.
  5. I got an email saying I reserved a cart, no option to pay yet, unless I missed it (highly likely). Anybody paid for their cart yet?
  6. Hard to beat the salomons for traction and all day comfort. I also like the fellraisers. The speed cross are good too (what most guys wear), but they only last about 1 season til the lugs wear off.
  7. I'd say "Merryman" squad carries more prestige. Harris and Horn are clowns, we just try not to make Bethany look bad.
  8. This. In a club match, no big deal? Wrong, but still no big deal. Absolutely not acceptable in a major match though.
  9. I made my check out to BRM3G. I figure if that doesn't work Andy will let me know.
  10. No email for me either. Didn't even think about it til I checked this thread. Oh well, got the confirmation on the registration page, and mailed my check earlier today.
  11. Hell, I'd pay more to shoot it. You do things at Andy's matches you just won't do anywhere else. You may not like all of those things at the time, but the stories are priceless!
  12. We'll have video, and of course the scores, those should be laughable. Just listen for "delta, mike, no shoot "dammnit",". That'll be John.
  13. It seemed like everyone with iphones could get on, but us droid users could not. I had a good signal, just never could get connected. I just borrowed someone's iphone to look at them.
  14. Sure I shoot for fun, and would continue shooting 3 gun with or without prize tables. However, the prize table certainly ups the fun factor for me. It's an added incentive (stressor) to perform well. If I finish well enough to get something good, awesome. If not, I'm motivated to practice more, harder. For me it's a performance incentive, and part of the experience. A great prize table does not make up for crummy stages, or a poorly run match though.
  15. What is the base gun he's using?
  16. In my opinion, for 3 gun, the JM-1 is the way to go. Its easy to use. Hashes line up perfectly in my guns with XM193 or equivalent (changes a little different loads). However, I'm not a "rifle" shooter really. I need a pretty stupid proof reticle, and the JM-1 is it. If you are a rifle guy though, and are familiar with MOA or Mils, then the other reticles may work.
  17. WOW! What a match. I can't really add anything to what's already been said. Great stages, great people, amazing prize table, and the most worthwhile cause. A big THANK YOU to Mike, Andy, and all the ROs. This has become my favorite match of the year hands down.
