  1. So I sat and cursed at my laptop for two hours last night for nothing? I went to sleep thinking I had registered for two matches, but we're calling a do-over out of fairness because some people couldn't get through? Are they gonna go to random draw prize tables also?
  2. Me too Nick. My in-laws think I'm nuts and are wondering why I'm dropping F bombs at my laptop
  3. Charles, how is this going to go down as far as registering, payment etc. I apologize if it's been mentioned in another thread and I missed it. Will we register for all of the regional matches we're interested in, and pay immediately, or pay on acceptance into the match(s)? I assumed the 3GN website will be updated between now and Thursday as I don't see any of the regionals yet.
  4. Charles, any update on when the rule set will be complete and available to competitors?
  5. Yep. fireman489, just use a 7/16 dowel rod cut to fit, or I've used shotgun shells stuck in behind the follower to take up the extra space so that the gun can only physically hold 8 in the tube.
  6. I think the Days Inn is it in Blakely and it's ain't big, so it's probably full. I made my reservation as soon as I found out about the location change as I know there aren't many options nearby. Cuthbert, Colquitt, or Dothan are your best bets, but keep in mind Dothan is central time and the range is eastern. Ugh! That's ugly. Maybe ill rent a motor home. Yeah, that's the only downside to the location. The facility (Legion) kicks ass though. Cuthbert is only about 30 minutes. Dothan gives you the most eating (and other civilization) options, but you lose the hour in the AM.

  9. Don't waste your time. The CS reps don't know much. They told me the 1301 lifter was a unique part. Yes it is the same. I had to get the Beretta CS rep to check with their tech dept to confirm. I ordered one and had it sent straight to Crums. It's in the gun now and works great.
  10. That close together will be difficult for many to attend both matches due to work constraints, travel time and expenses,..... Love shooting at Rockcastle and loved shooting the Pro-Am this year. Considering the already established match that sells out in seconds, I would have thought scheduling those two matches further apart at the same venue would have been a better idea. I'm still trying to figure that out myself.
  11. Are the 3GN Regional series rules posted anywhere yet? Will this be scored using total time, or stage points?
  12. I actually thought the 90+ degree temp and 95% humidity added a little something. It was brutal and insane, but was a great excuse for crummy shooting! Plus the opportunity to see your buddies puke mid-match is awesome, a true Kodak moment. In all seriousness, I did enjoy the added challenge of the heat. I ain't complaining about it being in March though.
  13. I wonder if they will still be scoring 3 matches for Semi-Pro?
  14. Jeff is pretty darn quick. I'd say about 10-14 days total is average for the three or four I've sent to him.
  15. The weekend is worth a 6 or 8 hour drive to shoot both days. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make it this month.
  16. I think the 1301 is still too new to answer your reliability question. Mine has had 1 failure to feed in about 600 rounds. That FTF was with cheap winchester western shells, and the gun was dry, so take that for what it's worth. I've run some 2 3/4 dram stuff through it without problems, though I'm not sure I would use that on anything we actually shoot shotguns at other than clays. There 1301 doesn't really "need" a recoil pad. I've ordered a limbsaver to play with, may use it may not. Not sure if it's a slip on or screw on.
  17. I have several times. In fact I followed the Black Hole bus out of Brodgeport, TX just a couple weeks ago. Chuck that was actually the Black Rain Ordnance bus, not Black Hole.
  18. I guess. Sandra/Aaron sent out at email stating the NSA range has been awarded a contract that will take up the range on the scheduled dates. So they are moving it to Blakely.
  19. I don't know anything about the NSA facility, but Legion is pretty cool. Lots of options on that property. I'm looking forward to it. Shouldn't be too much of a change really, an extra hour drive, no big deal. Someone might want to give the little sports bar/grill in town a heads up that weekend.
  20. So what do you use to raise the height of the front sight? Some sort of shim?
