  1. I had that happen to me once some years ago when I entered my password wrong 3 times and the system automatically blocked my ip addr. Try accessing http://uspsa6.org(which lives on the same web server) and see if you can get to that. If you can't, then you have probably been blocked for some damn reason and need to email or call uspsa. If you CAN still get to uspsa6.org, then yes, cloud flare is likely screwing with you.
  2. There's a Twitter feed? What is it?
  3. It's not intended as a replacement for the rulebook, it's intended as an additional resource/enhancement TO the rulebook! NO ONE (well, almost no one) is implying that such a reference card means you don't need to read and understand the rulebook.
  4. We're not, but I've just noticed amongst my own hardware (my ipad, ipad mini, iphone) that they always seem to find each other immediately before turning up any of the nooks out on the stages. When I was sharing the ssid of the wifi network, I noticed other folks' iphones showed up straight away as well.
  5. Look at it this way: It's a VERY common practice (or was when we had paper) in IT to have a full reference manual (rulebook) and also have a summary card for quick reference (Jim's card). You use the card to get a quick answer to a simple question, if you need further explanation, the manual/rulebook is also available. THAT'S why you would want such a thing! But Jim has also received several separate abusive emails, and we had to talk him out of erasing all the copies last night after he finally got enough of "no good deed goes unpunished". He's close to not renewing his membership in april, that's how soured he is on trying to help. If those emails didn't come from here, good; I had hoped BE always attracted a higher class of shooter than may be found elsewhere. But "lazy ass", "cheat sheet", and (I'm pretty sure I remember seeing) "range nazi"( though it seems to have been edited out since then), are NOT constructive.
  6. Really! Huh, I've always found that the apple devices find each other immediately and every time. Weird.
  7. Thanks a lot, folks. Someone spends 4 months writing a document that he THOUGHT might useful and possibly APPRECIATED, and all he gets is a bunch of abuse. You all just soured another shooter on USPSA and practical shooting. Great work, everyone.
  8. Last day for clubs to report 2014 activity is Jan 31. A few weeks after that, the clubs and sections get their activity reports for the previous year which tells the section coordinators how many points makes up a slot. A few weeks after that ,the actual slot forms are mailed to the SC's plus (sometimes happens earlier) to those who won slots outright in a Lvl3 match the previous year. As section coordinator, I never looked for slots to show up until around March 1.
  9. Clutter up the uspsa servers? Hell, that's what they're for. Load 'em up! It gives people a single known place to go to look for their match results, both regulars and visitors. Combined results? Load those to practiscore.com.
  10. I have the same opinion about match results. Only results uploaded to and hosted on uspsa.org are the official real match results. I don't share your opinion of ezws. It's squadding facility is unequaled by anything in practiscore and I prefer it for registration for a major match, which is a multi month project. But that's not the topic here, so let's not drift off to something else.
  11. Euxx's suggestions are good and worth trying. I use dropbox to transfer stuff between platforms in a practiscore environment. As an additional consideration, from your post you seem to be able to do everything you want for your own match from the iPad. If "ezwinscore crap" means creating and uploading the activity credits/classifier file, for this other match you could sync the completed match over from the kindle to your iPad, generate the activity credit file there, then get that over to your computer for uploading to uspsa.org. There is also a method you can use (I don't know what it is but I've seen it mentioned around here) to directly upload the file to uspsa.org and take ezws out of the equation entirely, which from your wording would appear to be a good thing, right?
  12. True, but that doesn't help when the nooks are out on the stages.
  13. Didn't know there was an iPad version of the 7th Guest. Have to look into that.
  14. There by providing less than optimal customer service to their competitors..........but then I think USPSA has had that one wrong for more than a decade..... Yep!
  15. They've always been able to print and or post (to their own websites) combined results as well.
  16. Do we really need the CombinedResults site anymore? With practiscore, results are uploaded to practiscore.com showing real combined results as calculated directly by the app, instead of results data mined and re-calculated from another source. (We realize we have just resurrected an almost 4 year old topic that started before there WAS such a thing as PS, right?)
  17. Until fixed in 1.2.25 or whatever comes after it, go back to 1.2.21?
  18. Responded to most severely in private.
  19. I gave specifics, one of which you just quoted. You chose not to read them. I REPEAT, DON'T TALK TO ME, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!
  20. I wasn't talking to you and as I made perfectly clear to you in private, prefer to not deal with you at all, but since you insist, it's very simple. iOS creates the uspsa upload file for activity credit reporting. YOUR VERSION DOESN'T!!! Then there's fit, finish, polish, reliability, testing, all of which iOS has, and which YOUR VERSION OFTEN LACKS!!! DON'T TALK TO ME, EUXX!!!! We'll all (you, me, everyone) be happier for it.
  21. The iOS version is way better as the master at a match than the android version.
  22. Nice article and obviously a wholel lot of thought and work went into it. Thanks!
  23. They did offer, actually, for a lot of things. Not all, but most. All you had to do was to re-download your music and it would have been drm-free.
