  1. Well these are all fascinating viewpoints. Euxx, I'm quite sure you won't be telling anyone ps works as designed. Not even you would presume to make that claim. I'm done with this conversation.
  2. So use it as designed and intended. There's a thousand ways to misuse practiscore itself. Does that mean it's the fault of PS?
  3. There's nothing to fix; ezws2ps is working as designed and intended, unlike some other software products I know, some of whose releases last a whopping 3 hours before a panic emergency fix version has to be rushed out. I've found that some people need a picture drawn for them before they understand, so I'll include a general flowchart of using shootnscoreit, ssi2ezws, ezwinscore, ezws2ps, and Niftybyte's own PS App Exporter, in the conduct of a typical monthly match. You have now been instructed as to how to correctly use ezws2ps. Please govern yourself accordingly. Practiscore USPSA Lvl1 Match Scoring Flow.pdf
  4. When I ran this last at the front of the month, all my stuff was on the same date and time. And it didn't ALWAYS happen, just sometimes.
  5. If it's so trivial, EUXX, then why did you start this argument? I have absolute respect for Ken and his staff, anyone who says I don't is... "mistaken". (A different word comes to mind.) And ezws2ps was written by a PS developer, by the way. It is not redundant. Rather, it creates a ready-to-use .psc file instead of several export/import files. It is a superior method of getting your match from ezws over to ps. It is no more redundant than the Practiscore App Exporter windows .exe, also provided by Ken and his folks, which allows you to bring a PS match into ezws without needing to resort to the tedious PS export options.
  6. Maybe they'll have a new release to everyone soon.
  7. Really? Cool. Guess I'll find out myself next weekend.
  8. I've said nothing wrong. In fact I am helping by telling folks how ezws2ps is supposed to be used. YOURE the one not helping by trying to dissuade people from using this very useful utility simply because you didn't write it yourself.
  9. Try to avoid upgrading iOS to 8.x for now. You'll have significant hang ups in synching otherwise.
  10. 1.2.24 was exhibiting tendencies to sync over scores that had already been previously synced, owing to the new group device selection scheme. It seemed harmless but was happening nonetheless.
  11. The intent is that you complete registration at the range with ezwinscore (owing to its still superior squadding facility), then use ezws2ps to create the initial practiscore match .psc file, bring that over to the master practiscore device ONCE!, distribute the match from the master to the stage devices, and go shoot. The app works as designed and intended.
  12. Well maybe. SRGC General Manager Bill Clay says he still hasn't seen a draft contract from USPSA and that Phil Strader was supposed to drop it by the club house when he was here for a 3-gun match but did not do so. Regardless of what Front Sight says, USPSA and SRGC have not agreed on anything for a 2015 Nationals, so right now the match is still homeless.
  13. We have across all our matches, local and majors.
  14. The nexus7 I believe makes up for that by having a "virtual" sd card on board. I think I've plugged mine in before to a computer and had 2 external drives appear; one for the operating system and one for the virtual card.
  15. Automatically? No, not that I'm aware of. But there are various save, backup, and export options that I believe require the actual storage to be there.
  16. You can export to dropbox or other apps, but that of course require a connection.
  17. There is, but it's intended to pull pictures into the device from a camera sd card.
  18. Yeah, I'd rather have a stage printer, too. At a reasonable price. That runs all day. In all weather. Maybe someday. That's why you have and need the paper, for when (however unlikely it may be) the electronics go to hell and take the match with them. And we (South River Gun Club, Cherokee, Riverbend) still get 100% participation in filling in of backup scoresheets at all our matches, 6 stages, 40-100 competitors each.
  19. YES... IF you have internet wifi coverage at your range. Most ranges do not! Therefore, back to paper again!
  20. They ARE required by rule 9.11.2, unless you get a separate exemption from the uspsa president for each match you want to run without paper. It's written in very simple, plain english that ANYONE should be able to understand. I'M RIGHT ON THAT!! YOU HAVE A NICE DAY!
  21. I've made no error here. You have to seek presidential approval for EACH MATCH in which you wish to take this extreme risk. I knew about that provision. My statements stand as correct. Without presidential approval, YOU MUST provide a hardcopy scoresheet to the competitor! And since you've made the accusation now, you now get to list the other assertions where you claim I've been wrong for quite a while now. I don't appreciate personal attacks.
  22. Abso-DAMN-LUTELY! That's the voice of experience speaking! And if there are still any naysayers, look further back up on this thread to my link to another post where a steel match was shredded and LOST because there was no paper backup!
  23. I was just sent this from DNROI. It is from Feb. 24, 2014 BOD minutes. http://www.uspsa.org/bodminutes/20140224.pdf "Upon approval of the USPSA President"! You seem to be eager to ignore that small caveat. You have to seek this approval for EACH and EVERY match you wish to run this way! Otherwise, PAPER BACKUP!
  24. Well I wonder if because you've already tried the "erase and deregister" thing and it blew up, that you now may really need to reset to factory and start again on that particular nook. If you find that you do, put in the rootnscoreit card and do the factory reset from there as provided in one of the options.
