  1. designed for weather radio audio jack out alerts, but might work with the buzzer audio jack out from a timer? Not too pricey to try and amazon has great return policies. http://www.amazon.com/Midland-18-STR-Strobe-Weather-Hazards/dp/B0002UB2K0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399488569&sr=8-1&keywords=strobe+alert
  2. ok, I had thought the RO could press it against the back of your neck/head and you would feel it then start the stage. I'll ask my friend who has a similar problem though I think he uses a shot timer with a strong speaker that creates a vibration and has it put up against his neck/head. I can see why you would want the strobe.
  3. Bill, not sure about the strobe approach, but what about using a timer with an audio out jack and a vibration device like this? http://www.enablemart.com/hearing/deaf-alert-systems/clearsounds-shk-vibrating-pad
  4. Alternatively you could have a gunsmith ream the barrel slightly to accommodate the rounds. I'm probably going to do this with my cz.
  5. Thanks for the data. Seems like es and sd are pretty good!
  6. SDc, Dave/CGW mentioned to me that he might have an option for adjustable sights in the next couple of months when I called down there a month ago. Did he mention anything about them to you? Sure would be good to see some, maybe they got delayed or aren't working out I guess.
  7. CFE pistol has only become available for purchase in the last week, so as you probably know there is not a lot of data other than the published and it may take a while. I'll be working up my own loads this week with xtreme 124FP. You have't said what power factor you're looking for, but I would do a ladder with the starting FMJ load at the Hogdon recommended 4.6, 4.8 and 5.0 and chrono and shoot for accuracy/power factor to find what you want/like/functions well just like any other work up. Your results are going to depend on what your gun likes, barrel length/tightness etc. etc. Look forward to sharing/seeing your data!
  8. Mine needed a little polishing to work smoothly but runs great now. I think I used a qtip with some mothers metal polish on it in the drop hole. I actually load directly into dillon spp tubes ( 8 ) and then start my loading session. works great, not sure what you're saying about the upside down part? try polishing it up/smoothing any burrs/plastic flashing.
  9. you beat me by a couple of seconds! the adjustment is usually pretty easy though it can be a devil of a time with odd, neutrally weighted bullets like the CTX frangible 9mm that midway firesaled a year or so ago.
  10. Nevermind. there were 43 in stock when I posted. then I rechecked and it's at 0 in stock now....max of 3 whole minutes later.
  11. some available right now for those wanting to try if you can get past the hazmat fees for the qty you want. probably be gone in a hour. http://store.thirdgenerationshootingsupply.com/browse.cfm/4,21690.html
  12. also bear in mind that typically FP's are shorter bullets than RN so what's important for chamber pressure is really 'seating depth' of how much case volume is available. For a shorter bullet (FP) with a shorter OAL this can be the same as a longer OAL with a longer bullet. Hope that makes sense and gives some peace of mind.
  13. Check your FP channel as noted. SP01 tactical with CGW ext. FP and 13lb mainspring lights off my tula SPP 100% and even ignites wolf SRM's. not sure about any diff. between CGW ext. FP and CZC. I Load on a 1050 with primer depth adjusted to work. I have heard of some wolf/tula lots having QC issues ( missing anvils on 1% etc )
  14. First purchasable CFE pistol I've seen sold out on powder valley this week so we should see some real world results soon.
  15. I loaded 10-15 KVB-556M just to see and they went off without a hitch in a 13lb mainspring SP01 tactical with CGW extended FP. Not a thorough test but impressed me enough to consider the option if I had to use them. An extended FP would probably be a must.
  16. I don't own it and I'm not sure how tall you want it but this goes to 60" http://www.amazon.com/SUNPAK-SPK620080-Sunpak-620-080-Tripod/dp/B00009UT3F/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1392389342&sr=1-1&keywords=sunpak+tripod I do own and use it's little brother as I almost always chrono from a bench and can handle the occasional string of 10 while crouching. http://www.amazon.com/SUNPAK-SPK620020-Sunpak-620-020-Tripod/dp/B00009UT28/ref=cm_cd_ql_qh_dp_t
  17. Near you, weekly would be NAAS and GPSL indoor. Then outdoor Cherokee and Riverbend and further away SRGC are great. Tons of opportunity and places and a great community here, Welcome! https://www.facebook.com/groups/131975220159258/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/166804601640/ https://www.facebook.com/CherokeeIpsc https://www.facebook.com/RiverBendGunClubPracticalShooters https://www.facebook.com/pages/SRGC-USPSA/139068409605263
  18. the red laser will work on the laserlyte targets ( both models ). Check out the manual, pg. 16 on inverting the prep and shot indicator lasers to switch the red and green functions. hope that helps.
  19. Based on the wording in the following web page, I would bet that the Grip Force beavertail Adapter is not legal. Only the factory one for gen4. http://chuckdisalvo.wordpress.com/2013/04/19/good-news-from-idpa-and-uspsa/ Maybe you could give them a call? A similar question has been posted on the official IDPA forum for over a month and a half with no response. http://idpaforum.yuku.com/topic/10110/Beavertail-Grip-Extensions-in-SSP
  20. You can try some of the suggestions in this thread check out post # 8 and # 17 especially. you don't need to buy the uniquetek stuff in my opinion. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169622
  21. Oh, you probably should have gone with the technical help email. Your 'contact us' email will probably make its way to the right person, but you may want to resend directly to the technical support. Tech help webpage: http://www.dillonprecision.com/technical_help.html Tech Help email: tech@dillonprecision.com
  22. My email took about 7 working days and then they responded that they were sending the parts to fix and then shipping took about a week. Got them yesterday, excellent service given how slammed they are! Definitely give it some more time. Seems long to you but it's only been 3-4 ( depending on what time of day you sent it ) full working days for them, right?
