  1. So am I...maybe they forgot what factory ammo was like..I know iv shoot with wwb 115 grn for the past year and a half. Keepin that muzzle down is much easier on the few test loads I shot all the way from 3.2 to 3.5 grn with titegroup and a 147 bullet so I now somewhere in the middle must be at pf. I hope to chrono some rounds this week.
  2. Just setup my 650 the past weekend and shot 30 test rounds yesterday. The lite recoil is amazing in 9mm and I can't wait to shoot these in a match coming from wwb 115 grn. How much time did you pick up when you started shooting reloads?
  3. Just went with this idea..can't beat the price....lol.. and it works great
  4. I just ordered the 16# wolf spring. To test out
  5. I loaded up about 5 each from 3.1 to 3.5 with a oal of 1.124. The 3.3 felt nice. Will hopefully be running them thru a chrono next week.
  6. I just finished loading 50 rounds on my new 650 and it is a awesome feeling shooting your own ammo. I also am waiting on getting the casefeeder in a few months, but being new to reloading doesn't even bother me....yet..lol
  7. Hodgdon rates the 147 grn xtp for a col of 1.10 if I increase that to say 1.13 would I increase the powder charge slightly? Also can you use the data for a xtp bullet for a mg tmj? Thanks Steve
  8. Ill be shooting it from a 4.5 xdm.
  9. I searched and couldn't find specifics what is the min and max grain and the min and max OAL for 9mm 147 grn TMJ montana gold bullet using tite group with winchester primer? Thanks Steve
  10. Btw... where is spare decapping pin that they say comes with the dies? Just deprimed and sized first piece of brass..WoooHooo!..
  11. Ok...for the 650 the braket goes on with the bolts..so yea must just be one generic mounting kit for both.. Thanks Steve
  12. New xl650 just arrived at my door...this thing is a beast! Question I had is I went with hardware kit instead of strong mount..there are 2 wood screws in the hardware kit in addition to the 4 bolts ..anyone know what they are for? Thanks steve
  13. I made it easy for options and went with the 650....thanks for all the info
  14. Just ordered my first press a xl650 with only a hour to spare before price increase.. and last day for 2% cash back for discover card...lol Happy New "reloading" Year to me
  15. I've got both, they are peers, keep your XL650 you have already spent the money. I haven't bought one yet..but after doing the math it seems that after you purchase case feeder I belive the hornady ends up a few dollars more. Does the case feeder come with a plate?
  16. i just came across them and for the same price as a 550. and right now {till tomm.12/31} 500 free bullets so actually its the price of a SDB. how long hasve you had yours?
  17. Wow..makes my buying desicsion for a new press easy. now if only i could decide model..lol
  18. Which station do you use it on? Are the rest of the stations dillon dies?..im a complete noob thanks. This is my only debate as to needing somthing better then a sdb, alot of the brass ill be using will be once fired. And I hear it really helps solve alot of issues at my club when people have trouble
  19. is the fourth station used on a 550 when you first purchase it? is that where you would put the LEE FCD? what about the sdb, are all 4 stations used?..thanks in a real noob to reloading
  20. The only other question was, is it more difficult operating because of the smaller size. watching the videos it seems much smaller then the 550. Has anyone used both? Is it more of a problem with inserting brass and bullets on the smaller machine? Seems the 550 is a smoother operation
