  1. I got the howard leight electronic muffs for christmas. The few times I tried them so far, they seem to do the job. And the price is very low online
  2. Screw some normal 2x4 "H" style stands together..they fit in any trunk. The problem being portable are the targets and the long sticks that hold them
  3. sdm74 That's fairly deep for that bullet. Does it crunch when you seat it? Thanks for the info!! That's not deep..minimum oal is 1.10 according to hodgdon data
  4. I use 147gr with a oal of 1.124 on average
  5. I will be going into my third season with my XDm. (Actually more like 2.5) How long till I need to think about replacing certain parts? So far I have only had to replace striker retainer pin. What is barrel life expectancy etc. Thanks steve
  6. No problem..I have not had any problems with phone. This is my first app that I put on phone that was not from store also. Looks real nice..have not got a chance to fully test at range yet. But responds when clapping, and has nice options
  7. You know, I'm not sure. I finally found this one http://www.sis.si/archives/743 made by the same company as this one http://www.sis.si/shot-timer/#reviews. I hope so because it sure sounds good! Thanks for the help Vigilante! Kent here is link to thread..its on last page, halfway down .. zip file ..directions are at bottom of page 7 shot timer thread
  8. Search for" open source shot timer" on here ..I installed it on my droid2
  9. No problem for me on computer or phone..its not the forum
  10. Didn't know it was that much more. I might go with the xd. Not gonna be doing much with a compact to warrant a "match" barrel
  11. That's not what it says here.. my reply works anyway..lol I plan on getting the xdm compact myself eventually..I have the regular xdm now
  12. Well, you're already taking part in the other thread about which Limited guns people like...sorta covers the same thing right? Never fear, I took about five minutes, and put together a greatest hits compilation for you....think of it as a buyer's guide to Limited guns. It covers which gunsmith to pick, 5" versus 6", standard or long/wide dustcover, and sight tracker versus conventional barrel. After reading through these, you should be able to pick your new gun easily http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=121449&view=findpost&p=1372955 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117910&view=findpost&p=1335448 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117223&view=findpost&p=1328597 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117982&view=findpost&p=1336261 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117561&view=findpost&p=1331795 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=116297&view=findpost&p=1318391 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=115625&view=findpost&p=1311186 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=111898&view=findpost&p=1270041 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=109444&view=findpost&p=1243132 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=100239&view=findpost&p=1144536 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=97355&view=findpost&p=1112624 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96887&view=findpost&p=1107502 They need to give you authority to make some FAQ's threads! Iv seen you put together some good ones in various threads lately Being new myself it is hard to sift threw the mass of info
  13. Thanks for the detailed info..ill give it a shot edit: that works great for droid 2
  14. Do you get any error messages ? Yes content not supported on this phone..just tried to dl straight from browser on phone
  15. Now there's the xdm sub ..which has a extended mag with it ..that makes full size handle. So its good for carry with short handle and put extended on and you have 3.8. Both have same size barrel so they will shoot similarly
  16. Wont let me download file to droid 2.
  17. I hope it does somthing for close to double the price..lol Buy in bulk with a group and you can get a good rate at Powder Valley. So not double the price. Plus, if you divide the cost of a jug by the cost per bullet, you might be paying 1 cent more per bullet. I'd rather pay the extra for a better shooting bullet. I don't understand. How much discount do you get? Listed on powder valley website 4# n320 is $90. The 8# TG is $104 And the max load for n320 is. .03 higher then TG max with a 147grn bullet. So how does that work out to a "penny" more ? Just trying to figure out the math.
  18. What i am talking about: I loaded Zero 124FMJ(which actually weigh 125gn) with both TiteGroup and Vit N320 TG - 4.3gn, 1.150 OAL proved most accurate N320 - 4.3gn, 1.140 OAL proved most accurate FWIW, I've drank the Kool-Aid and have switched over to N320 exclusively. You have to compare them side by side, but all I can say is the 320 just feels better. To give you an anaology, recoil with the TG feels like catching a baseball in a mitt on the palm. 320 feels like catching the same ball, in the webbing. I hope it does somthing for close to double the price..lol
  19. Another fairly new user here (almost a month).... I've had no issues with the spent primer system. I think it has something to do w/ stability of the press(or bench) rather than a flaw w/ the spent primer system. The spent primer system is fairly simple, and if everything is stable, primers should hit the cup w/o issue. Like the OP, I've had zero problems that weren't minor setup issues. Those minor issues, after I just went over everything again, I found the problem. Its more then that cause my press does not move. My bench is screwd to wall
  20. Yea I went with the tape trick for the dead primers, also on the live primer cup ..this thing is awesome other then the flinging primers. which is weird after all these years they have not fixed this problem. Funny having to put tape on a 7 or 8 hundred dollar machine, all things included...lol
  21. I have had my 650 for 2 weeks. This is my first reloader and I don't find it very difficult to operate. I have read many threads about the tweaks etc. It takes to run. Iis there something I am missing?
  22. Id say shooting somthing like "steel challenge" where you can load down to 120pf I believe, your sure to be able to get on the next plate quicker over factory ammo
  23. Also try the XDM with the small grip backstrap.
