    New Heater

Spook, that is funny. Congrats TIS. They are nice shooters. Are you reloading?
  2. So is there a consensus on an accepted method of starting a shooter who can't hear the buzzer? It seems we have two candidates, Erik Warens tap the timer on the shoulder method and JGHtyre's press the timer into the thumb driving the thumb into the shoulder method. I would really like to know if there is an official or unofficial universally accepted method. BTW, the American sign language symbol for "stop" is a downward "tomahawk" chop with the strong hand. So Kimmel, how was your first match? Please share.

    Dat's my buddy.
  4. I gave 3QT 10 procedurals Sunday on a stage he designed. It was a really goofy stage and he didn't really write it in that you could only use the mags you picked up off the barrell but it was clearly intended that way (I know duane if it's not writen in the instructions...). My point is he took his 10 procedurals like a pro and set a good example that the MD is nothing special. Anybody ever been to a match where the MD gets special treatment?
  5. Sunday I (C class, confidant of my accuracy at 20 yards) shot a stage with a choice of running closer or shooting at a distance. It took alot longer to aim all the precise shots than it did to run up closer and blast from close range. I got to shoot it twice it took me 15 seconds longer to shoot it from a distance. I'm not sure I addressed the exact subject here, but it was a big learner for me.

    Glock 34 or 35

Heh-heh. I do like those nice little piles of brass. Thanks Flex. I ran a big batch of 200 grainers and had cycling problems. For loading .40, I started with Redding dies and have been very pleased, they were recomended as a more full length re-sizer for G -fired brass. Add a LFCD, and viola! The only thing that doesn't pass a Bar-sto barrell is the occasional S&B.

Someone who comes from the upper peninsula of Michigan (U.P.), UP'er, Yooper phoenetically. Dat's a Yooper, aye. Try the movie "Escanaba in Da Moonlight". Jeff Daniels stars as Da buckless yooper and directs. If the line "Das explains da dream." Doesn't have you chuckling for days afterwards I'll clean yer two-holer fer a year.

    Glock 34 or 35

A Lee Factory Crimp die minimzes problems with bulged .40 Glock brass. About the only time I see a problem anyway is with S&B. Let us know what you pick. Hey Flex, what load are you using for .40 minor? And spring? thanks. Brian, you and Mr. Green run a nice match down there at Miami R&P.
  9. Moore's first movie "Roger and Me" was really quite good. I personally don't believe he is trying to solely get rich from his films, he is a crusader. After offering up this small defense of Moore, I was disgusted when I read about his newest offering, the Columbine movie, and will not pay to see it or support it in any way.
  10. I will be needing a holster for my new old N frame for IPSC. Any suggestions? Cheaper is better, but best is to only buy once and be happy.

    Glock 34 or 35

I feel that the 35 is a little more versatile in that it makes major but you can also load it down for production. With the new 9mm major the 34 might be interesting, but you're not going to make a Glock Open classer are you Brian? What do Jason and Kyle say? BTW, about that 3rd stage you scored for me at Miami in June, I still think that was a double (kidding).

Why thank you BE. Did 3QT tell you that I wore my new (birthday gift from my daughter) "Da Buckless Yooper hat" at his match yesterday? It was even replete with a red bow on the front flap in the spirit of 3QT's Christmas match. I think most mistook me for a drunken Russian though...
  13. Hi. My name is Tom and I am a fool and a jerk. But I'm not the electronic basher. Bill S. is my guru by proxy.
  14. Joke, Bill. If I have to explain I guess it waaasn't that funny.
  15. You are my guru Bill. Signed, anonymous.

    Why not Glock?

The original post was why NOT Glock? Not enough parts to break? Don't get to buy enough gunsmithing tools? Don't get to enjoy deciphering the "how to fit an AFTEC extractor" instructions?
  17. I guess I started this one, but dang I thought it was intelligent, weatherwise, to go to Indiana from Michigan. I suppose if you make it all the way to Florida you are an absolute genius. Here's to you and those Palmetto bugs buzzing around your butt. I can't even fathom SoCal. 82 degrees, t-shirts, top down and a gas mask. Woohoo. Is this part of the same state where some cranks just judged that the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to individual rights? How proud you must be.
  18. Inadequate tupperware? Bet there aren't any stages emphasizing accuracy in the match YOU designed for Sunday studley. It's on now. It's supposed to start at 30 degrees and get colder. I hate all you sissies that live where it stays warm all year. (Edited by twix at 6:12 am on Dec. 6, 2002)
  19. I have one in .40. I haven't shot it extensively because it came with a really horrid trigger pull(which Keltek said they would fix when I send it back). It does seem to be remarkably accurate at least out to 100 yards despite the trigger. 150 rounds, no jams. The sights are crappy and too low as JT said. I got a couple of Scherer mags with it, I don't know if they came cracked or cracked on me. They will hold 26 .40's. It does look real cool with my Glock mags with Arredondo extenders, like it was made for them. I like the 10mm idea but I don't think they will fit in the .40 mags. I'll try it later.

    Why not Glock?

Steve I was thinking about you and those big hands wrapped around my revolver (oops this is sounding a little weird)what I mean is I think you would be an awesome revolver shooter with those big hands. You really rapped it out DA. Why not a Glock? It sure ain't holding back this wanna be B classer.
  21. The shooter shoots--the gun is just a tool--that lets the sun smile at me--through the holes in the A zone
  22. I saw that tape last night. I was going to ask Bill how he got the tape to run in fast forward when he taped 3QT. :)Nice work Mr. Seevers. Only problem is, James wanted to start telling all of his tri-state stories again....

    Only ONE GLOCK

A 23 and a 29 are so close to the same dimensions it's barely worth mention, Shade. If the butt is a little short for you try a pinky mag extender or better yet a preban 15 rounder for a full size grip.
