Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey Guys: I didn't want anyone to miss my post in the classifieds if some one was looking for a new gun, especially for a new shooter. Thanks
  2. I've seen this a couple of time before on 2003 servers. I have no explanation for it but for some reason the drive mgr for Windows decides a drive is a certain size and that is the end of that no matter what you do. Since Norton dropped Partition Magic the best tool out there now is Paragon Partition Manager. This handy tool should solve this problem easily and quickly, do a complete back first just in case. I used Partition magic to solve a similar problem a few years back. Hope this helps Here's the link www.paragon-software.com/business/pm-server/features.html#3 with the complete list of features.
  3. Would this Ghost holster work for the CZ TS .40?

  4. Before you go nuts lets determine whether its a driver problem or a hardware problem. You need to build a Bart PE Windows Boot CD or DVD. Its one of my favorite tools for diagnosing problems just like this. Here's the link to his web site complete with directions on how to build the disk. I hope this will help you and others solve these #@$$##$ problems that can drive you nuts. Good luck and let us know how it works http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
  5. There must be a "twist" in there somewhere, while we all love shooting to show needs to have broader appeal. Maybe there is a catapult stage or spears at 200 paces. Good luck to those that make the cut and I know the rest of us will be watching.
  6. The stages look great, this would be ideal for our club. Is is hard to learn and did you have to draw all of the elements first and them place them in the Sketch-up program?
  7. Thanks Jeff: Look like 3 grs is a good place to start and work up a little from there. I'm gonna load some today and shoot 'em tomorrow and I'll let you know what they chrono and how accurate they are taking the shooter into consideration
  8. My son has shot approx 7000 115 MG FMJ thru his Tang and the accuracy of that bullet has been outstanding. But just like with rifles, certain bullet/barrel combination's are spot on. Yet you can take a different brand bullet that has the exact same specs, use the exact same load and never get a decent group. In the short time I've been reloading pistol ammo I can see the same trend from the posts on the board. This does make some sense because of the high volume of rounds we shoot vs the very few rounds shot over the lifetime of a hunting rile. The bore in pistol barrels in constantly changing and that is something to keep in mind if all of a sudden your fav load just doesn't group the way it used to. Just something to think about...

    GPS

The GPS in my iPhone is so good i quit using my Magellan and sold it on ebay!
  10. Thanks, not looking to make any PF, just want to knock the steel down at the club shoots better than the 115grs do now.
  11. I have 4 pounds of bullseye I need to use and the 147gr 9mm bullets seem to do a good job of knocking down the steel. Just wondering if anyone has a pet 9mm load using 147 gr 9mm JHP or FMJ and bullseye. Thanks!
  12. I have lots of Bullseye and was wondering if anyone had a good load for the 147gr using it.
  13. I have lots of Bullseye and was wondering if anyone had a good load for the 147 using it.
  14. I noticed that the factory chose to grind the pre travel screw off flush with the front of the trigger. Made it really tough to remove, and leaves you with a angled surface on the screw. I suggest that you order a new screw from Henning. Then you'll have a decent surface to work with when setting up your trigger. It took some trial and error testing at the range to find that point of minimum pre travel that will allow the sear to reset. While you're at it you might as well polish the trigger bar and plunger while you have it apart.
  15. I just finished editing a video for the kids that went to the AMU/MGM Junior shooters camp at Ft. Benning. I ran a bunch of tests to see what the YouTube encoding engine wanted in order to give me the best results. I will start a new thread detailing step by step what tools and settings to use so that you can get high quality video from the YouTube encoding engine. Below is a link to the video I did for the kids, this was shot in standard def video format, yet you will see the HD button in the YouTube player toolbar. I was happy with the final video quality, so let me know if this is what you had in mind for quality. That is a GREAT idea of shooting from a ladder. I wasn't planning on shooting any video since a TV show was supposed to come and shoot the camp. So all I had was my 3 CCD Panasonic, 1 tape and 1 battery. Oh well in the end it came out fine and the kids will love it which is what counts. It may take me a few days to document the step by step directions but I will post it as soon as I can.
