I picked up a Rock Island. The fit and finish were better than I expected. It runs great with a variety of ammo. It's just fun to shoot.

Steer clear of Lone Wolf. They seem to having quality control issues lately. A friend ordered a stainless slide and barrel from and both have issues. The rear sight cut is too big and his Dawson sights fell out as soon as you touched the slide. Sent it back, they it for a month and returned it with what looked like chisel marks in the bottom of the cut. The barrel had a flat spot in the chamber, easily fixed by the gunsmith. He will probably never spend another dollar with Lone Wolf.

Has any one used 1 of the Dawson 1911 9mm mags? I picked up a Rock Island 9mm and need to get more mags. Thought I would check here before ordering 1 and just trying it out.

A local gunsmith that I shoot with runs Kart in all of his Para's. When it's time for a new barrel in my P16 I am going with a Kart.

I started in Production and then switched to Limited. The rules for Production just didn't let me do enough to the gun.

No one with the Blade Tech. OK. How about the Model A from CR Speed?

I handled a few S_I style guns and then got a Para. The steel frame was the way to go for me.

P16. I just got mine and I am not even looking back at the Glock 35.

I just picked up a P16 Limited from classifieds on another forum. Took it out yesterday and 200 rounds with no problems. I am looking forward to the next local USPSA match. It will be a nice change from Glock 35 I have been shooting.

Which springs seem to work best in Para mags with Dawson aluminum base pads. I will probably get some springs from Dawson, just though I should see if there was anything better.

Has anyone tried the Blade Tech speed rig drop off set? I just got my para and was thinking about trying it out.

I got to meet Mr. Shaw at a small town gun show in Idaho. I have only been competing in USPSA for a couple of years, and I enjoyed getting to visit with someone who has shot and won major matches.

Center of Mass makes great holsters and mag pouches.

My 12 year old niece competes in local USPSA matches with a 9mm, but she has her eye on my 1911.

9 points down = 90.0000% 53 points on this last Sunday. CmCalc says 58.8883. I am still a "D" shooter so I will take that. USPSA website shows 58.8888 points. Thats enough to get me into "C" class. Sweet.

I just put a Dawson magwell on my Gen 2. It fit pretty good, I just took a piece of emery cloth to smooth the spot where the magwell and grip came into contact and it works great.

The shoot house stage was very fun and challenging last weekend.
