  1. Hi A33435, I'm still not sure if I can go, but chances are pretty good I'll get a slot to shoot my wheelgun over there. I hope to see a lot of Enos forum members there.

    The Flu

Jeez, that sucks man (makes me feel like I need to stop whining)! I hope you get well soon. I hope so too D. As eerw pointed out, there's something going around that isn't affected by flu-shots Skywalker, I'll try it immediately!

    Pm's

Old shooter, same thing happened to me (well, sort of). I PM-ed Erik Warren about something and thought I never got a message back. Couple of months later I wanted to send someone a PM (I don't PM very often) and saw Erik had PM-ed me back. I just didn't see/read/get the reply notice Made me feel like a jerk...
  6. Sensei, yes, unfortunately you need to drill a hole in the sight to install it
  7. I would: 1) Allow speedloaders to be carried in front of the hipbone. 2) Allow every grip (factories offer a gazillion different ones, so one could never check) 3) Allow every barrel lenght of up to 8 3/8" This is what IPSC production revolver rules should be like too, IMHO. It will draw more people toward PD. Don't limit revolvers any more than they already are.
  8. I agree wholeheartedly
  9. How can you be(come) very good at something you do not like at all? You might want to take three minutes and try this (An Olympic sports psychologist taught me this trick): Visualize yourself not being able to shoot anymore, ever. Visualize a life without guns, without competition. Picture yourself never being able to shoot again ever in this life.....and try to make the pictures, sounds and smells in your mind feel and look as realistic as you can. If you want to, you can go to a practice session with that thought on your mind. Make it feel as if it was your last practice ever. How does that make you feel? Bring back the fun and the results will follow. What made you love this game when you decided you wanted to be the best? I think that's your ticket out of Slumpville. A GM card on your mind while you're shooting will not make you shoot better. The card will come when you start having fun again. Take care
  10. Hi Jay welcome aboard. I hope you'll enjoy surfing these boards as much as the other forum members do. It's a great place and I think it will answer a LOT of questions you might have. I chose revolver class. Why? Because I really wanted to shoot IPSC, and I had no gun for that. Revolver division was in it's first year and a guy I knew sold his S&W 625. I bought it for $200 with a bunch of clips and a home made speed holster. Thought it was the cheapest way into IPSC shooting. Now, two years later, I still love shooting the same gun. Revolver class is great. It's not for everyone though. Most people don't like to work that hard I really like it, because it's so intense. You get more trigger time than the other guys, have to be very creative in planning and strategies and everything is scored Virginia You're always doing something, shooting or reloading. Disadvantage is that there are very few people shooting wheelguns in this game. The division is steadily growing though. I think about ten people will be shooting it worldwide in 2024
  11. Chuck, no prob. Three more things. 1) The guy also said he made about 180+PF with that load, so you might want to start veeeerrrry low and work your way up (you were gonna do that anyway, weren't you? ) 2) He also tried to make major with 158 grain bullets and said pressures were very high. 3) I heard USPSA will drop this rule next year. Posted somewhere in the IPSC/USPSA Questions forum, in the thread about Major PF requirements.

    10 yd Bill Drill

    LOL, but .83....Dang!
  13. Chuck, I asked the guy about his load. This is the info he gave me (remember we shoot 170PF over here in Europe, and work up loads with care etc. etc. ) He said he used 200 grain bullets by H&N which I mentioned before. Powder was 5.8 grains of Vith. 3N37 Hope this helps. Cheers

Impressive Ron. I heard you complain aubout your draw in other threads. This one must have included a nice one, right?
  15. Chuck, a couple of good steelshooters in my country wanted to use their 686's in IPSC. They also wanted to shoot major with .38 cases. I shooting a match tomorrow and they might be there. If I see them, I'll ask them what the exact recipe is. The only thing I clearly remember is that they used 200 grain bullets (German Haendler & Natermann) for their major loads.
  16. WOW! One of the most gorgeous guns I've ever seen. Have fun with it!
  17. LOL, Arvid, I think our Italian buddy might be right. Look at it this way: 1- I'm still a student. I work 20 hours a week. 2- I don't have any kids 3- I LOVE dryfire practice 4- I LOVE dryfire practice 5- I LOVE dryfire practice 6- I LOVE dryfire practice CU next saturday at the match?
  18. I "built" a dry fire swinger from a metronome my little brother gave me. Just stuck a mini cardboard target on there. I can even adjust the speed
  19. Guninhand. I'm glad you feel that way. It's great to feel positive about your existence. Keep it up (I know you will )

    Reloads

LOL, that's just about as effective as my ultrafast "clip-dropping"-method (on the floor that is...). Using two clips for a reload always puts a warm smile on my face. The hysterical laughter of my shooting buddies helps, really.
