  1. Wow, I feel like I'm the guy you're looking for. I shoot IDPA SSR or ICORE with a S&W 67 (speedloader) every weekend somewhere in Florida. I shot a USPSA Classic match once last year, but was really outclassed by the 625's because of the Major/Minor scoring thing. I own a 627 and have shot it once in a while in ICORE, but I really enjoy the 67 more. I wish I had a place to play in USPSA where I felt more competive in. I'm in if this can be worked out! Mike Williams
  2. I have two 6" brass rods with a SS Tornado brush on one and a 40 cal nylon brush on the other. I brush the chambers out with the Tornado brush first (2 to 3 passes each) then follow up with the nylon brush. I have cut pieces of tee shirt material that I use to wipe beneath the extractor and the frame area. I learned three things in the military : eat whenever you can, sleep whenever you can, and clean your weapon whenever you can. Works for me!
  3. I use a .250' high SDM green FO on the front and have installed a Weigand .125" notch rear sight blade from Brownells (p/n 078-000-013) for the rear. Works fine for me in IDPA and ICORE.
  4. Hey Ted, are we thinking a division for 8 shot revolvers in IDPA? If so, I'm in.
  5. I think if you had used one of the three mags in carriers on your belt, this would have been a non-issue and you would be abiding by the current rules. I shoot a revolver and come to the line at each stage with three speedloaders in holders on my belt and two in my pants pockets (plus a few loose rounds too). LAMR is from my pants pockets, so the three on the belt are just like the start of a regular match's string. Bottom feeders can have three carriers on the belt, but only 2 may have mags in them at the start. I think we all want the classifiers to run smooth and fast. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone getting dinged for fishing mags out of their pockets during a classifier. Not taking sides here, but it's a game with rules. Let's try to follow them so the "Tribal" aspect (as Chris says) is minimalized.
  6. Chris, I shot an ICORE match at CFRPC last Sunday. What a blast! The Aug match has been cancelled, but the Sept match on the 23rd is still on. This weekend there is an USPSA Classic match for revolvers and single stack at CFRPC. Join us!
  7. I use Ready Tactical speedloader holders for both IDPA and ICORE. Work great, no drama.
  8. Learned a hard lesson at the Carolina Cup. Thankfully a SO took pity on me and let me borrow his 686 for two days. Came in second with a borrowed gun. Good to see you again Tom. Are you shooting the Nationals in Sept?
  9. ICORE is shot on the 4th Sunday of the month at Central Floride Rifle and Pistol Club.
  10. SSR NOV 88.37. Got to start somewhere!
