  1. What an awesome match! I disagree with the guys that said it was tough - this was one of my better matches!!! Of course, shooting with Turtle and Brad and having Jake around to coach didn't hurt either :)

Hopefully though, this is the end to the limited run! I WANT MY DOT!

I got to meet SOOO many Be'ers this weekend. WOW - what a neat group of people we hang out with :)

I'm not going to name names, cause I'll forget someone! I promise though, Ray, I'll recognize you next time, kay

  2. Somewhere here on the forums I believe you will find the exact measurements of magazines. (If you don't find them, call Beven, he'll give them to you) Once you've found that - *squish* those puppies back into spec :)

I have not found a jig of any sort - RB does it the old fashioned way - rubber mallet and calipers

  3. If there was 3 GM's that performed to their ability AND your match score percentage was the next class higher, you WILL get bumped :) I'm not sure where/if this is posted on USPSA, but it's personal knowledge at this point!

    Congratulations! I personally think this is the only way USPSA should move people [Off da soapbox}

  4. I'll be at Miamisburg on Sunday.  Hope to see you all there.  (Especially since I will have the big green trailer and be looking for help loading their poppers into it for use at the Ohio match ;) ).

Dammit - my sense of needing to help out when I can is warring with my need to get my plaque!!!!

  5. But 2 falls in 2 matches has got to be some kind of record.

Nope - sorry Ben. I spent almost an entire year on the ground at matches :P Well, at least that's what it felt like. But seriously, I did fall 3 matches in a row! First, I fell off a hay bale, second, I tripped over a fault line and then third one, I tripped over, um, well, the ground :)

  6. I shot this one, again, this Sunday. Damned decent run :) It's going to be close to 69% LIMITED! I really have to stop doing that!!! I'm just a lowly C Class Limited shooter and I like it like that!

  7. I was all set on T-mobile To Go, then I realized #1 it has spotty coverage and #2 it doesn't roam. In fact, few prepaid plans roam off-network. That torpedoes my "travelling phone" plan.

Now I'm set on Beyond Wireless. They offer off-network roaming (at 4x the rate) and use the AT&T/Cingular TDMA network. The only drawback is they don't have many local numbers and I may end up with a number from Illinois, Florida, or Texas. Which really isn't a drawback for me and my intended use.

Now I'm wondering if I can get any old TDMA phone. Even a refurbished phone that was previously activated?

If you can use any old TDMA phone - lemme know! I've 3 of them in the closet and you can certainly HAVE one!

  8. Are you still using the same holster? If you have another one, put it on and work on it for awhile - not sure it's a perfect answer, but since muscle memory is what we work off of, maybe another holster will confuse your memory enough that you can go back to the "real" holster after you've unmemorized it and re-train that memory again.

  9. Definitely don't steer him towards the 1911's nor towards a comped or ported barrel. The gun I've found that hurts the least on BOTH my wrists is the Glock. I haven't shot the BHP since my wrist injuries, so I can't comment on that... BUT for competition, I'd highly recommend the Glock or XD over the BHP.

  10. GRRL, not quite sure about the confusion, but Cincinnati IS in OHIO (home of the BUCKEYES    ) and MRPC does shoot on the FOURTH Sunday of the month. ;)

I got it now - there's 2 clubs called Miami in the area. There's Miamisburg and then there's Miami Rifle and Pistol! Miamisburg shoots this Sunday, MRPC shoots the 4th Sunday!

I was planning on going to Circleville, but their June match was cancelled and Rayners was moved to June 5 - so I went to Rayners! I was also in PIttsburgh for the weekend visiting my parents so stopping at Rayners on the way home was no big deal :)

Nick - can you send me official directions to Circleville going that way?
