Well, why don't we make a professional shooting association and see what happens when your income is based on performance. Entry fees will rise too to cover fees for officials and scorekeepers and the waterboys who do a damn fine job bringing new targets and water to everyone. Kelly, Kurt and others have all brought up good points. The other point being made is, this is just a hobby for 99% of us. 3 or more years ago, I would have said random prize drawing because of my skill, not that its at a top 10 skill set yet, but if you have 5 divisions and your tac scope is 60% of the entire match, i agree that 60% of the guns should be on that prize table, if, iron sights, which i love shooting, is only 10% of the match, well then 10% of the guns go there, but after all the firearms are gone, it still should be a balanced prize table. Its all opinion and each of us have one, but lets keep shooting because we love the sport

It seems i'm the only one looking forward to the standards! On the first string it says"must start from behind the fault line" or something to that nature. It doesn't say you can not start from the prone. I'm anxious to see who comes the closest to zero'ing the stage. I also think that the 1st string is the hardest with a reload, the other two do not have reloads. Also the distance and target size is a factor. We'll see everyone in a few weeks.

Congrats to all the competitors and to the staff. I couldn't make it this year, but will try for next year.

forgive my ignorance, but in uspsa multi gun, does the rifle hits matter more than just 2 on paper, is it better to slow down and get the 2 A's?

I've installed many of both triggers over my many years building AR's. The JP trigger is a great trigger, but you must locktite the 2 screws or it will double or not reset. Of course opinions vary, but my favorite trigger is the McCormick 2 stage. I've been running one for 5 years or so. On barrels, I run an 18" also, far superior in my opinion on accuracy and reliability. I prefer a stainless barrel over a chrome lined or chromoly.

I just arrived back in Arizona, I can't begin to describe what a great match this was. The stages were awesome, the staff was TOP notch and the prize table was unbelievable. I shot on squad 5, with Rod and Chery, my 2 favorite people in the whole world, Tony H and my buddy Tony G. 2 Marks, Grant, Jarmo and Duke. We had a fantastic squad. Thanks to all that helped. I had a wonderful time.

I've had a bad june....................we'll just leave most of it untold. I got back from MGM ironman to find out First Data Solutions terminated my merchant account.(Ability to take credit cards) I call and ask why and they tell me its because i sell guns over the internet. I could fathom their policies, but to be a customer for several months, to try and help a friend out, I can't understand. Our(firearms)Industry is the most regulated in the world, well its up there anyways. I tell them we must follow all federal and state regulations. I even tell them the states we can't ship hi-cap mags to, states and cities that can't have AR-15's, etc.... I actually got into a verbal shouting match with this ignorant SOB. He tells me "policies are policies", oh yeah it gets better, I had a very big order and they're holding my money ransom. He said, "I can hold your money up to six months if i wanted." What kind of BS is this, the customer paid by credit card, got his parts and now we're short over 10K. Thanks for listening, if you have a choice, don't do business with First Data Solutions. They're headquarters is in Colorado.

I will definately be doing some fly fishing. The Tuesday before the match I'll be in northern california or oregon. After the match I'm thinking of heading down to the SunValley area before we make our way back to AZ.

Whatever happened for shooting for the love of the sport instead of whats on the prize table. I guarantee you the prize tables are going to be getting thinner and thinner with the economic situation going on(metal prices going up and up) and the lack of competitors thanking the sponsors. There were a few sponsors not there this year from previous years. As for the match, I thought it was a great match, the only worry I had was my benelli falling on the stage with the door. It was quite wobbly. It was great to see old friends and make new ones again this year. Congrats to all the winners.

There were a few people got dinged for equipment failures. Not sure the specifics, but some safariland holsters are not making the cut when it comes to singlestack rules. As for the stages, very fun, challenging, but could have lived without the revo standards. Saw some old friends and made new ones, great match so far.

Just because it isn't allowed doesn't mean people don't do it. I shot all day on thursday for Area II and had to kick people off the stage when we were walking it, I know everyones excited about the match, but some people just don't have a clue.

The match isn't exciting as it was a month ago, when I thought I earned a spot at the single stack nationals, but i'm sure i'll have fun once the shooting starts. Something that bothers me and it could just be me, but people walking the stage while other squads are shooting, theres plenty of time during the walk through to get your game plan down, why do people think they need to do this?

I think that the policys were related to the match. With the policys set how they are, any ol' billy bob can just send there money in and compete, making it a lower standard for a Nationals event.

I guess I got policy and rules mixed up. But I still think that a nationals event should be the best in the country going against each other. Opinions vary I'm sure, but this is mine.

Straight from USPSA: Slot distribution shall be based on participation within a particular division and the policy applies equally to all divisions. Slots may be used only at the match that recognizes the division within which it was won, but the competitor may enter any division competed at that match. If, for example, a competitor earns a production slot and the match format calls for a Factory Gun Nationals recognizing L10, production, and revolver he can use his slot to enter any of those divisions. If the match were a stand-alone production championship, his slot would be recognized only at that event. Slots are allocated through USPSA in four different categories: • Returning Champions • Area Championships • Other Tournaments • Clubs/Sections Once again, they are not using USPSA rules. LOL Im not trying to bust your balls Alan, but Nationals should mean you earned a slot, in my opinion.
