  1. has not set their status

  2. Thanks for moving it, I didn't know where would be a good place to put it.
  3. I wonder how many days thats guy can ride on a gallon of gas.
  4. I'm looking at picking up a win. 70 in a 300 win mag and was trying to figure out when it was made. S/N is G2104888 can anyone give me more info? Thanks
  5. No, not to up load to you tube, but to email to friends and family? Video's run about 50mb???
  6. You guys that post videos, how do you make them smaller? I've shot videos of my buddies and I and we can't email them or post them cause they are too big how do you reduce them? I know shooting stages faster would help , is there another way?
  7. I installed a SVI trigger and tri-glide sear spring on my Kimber and changed my MS to 17# and my recoil to 14# and everything went great. I've fired over 5 hundred rounds through it with out so much as a hiccup. This set up took my trigger pull from 5.5 pounds to 2.5 pounds. Just check your safeties before adding live rounds to make sure the gun is functioning ok and when you add live rounds at the range for the first time only add 2. Just in case something did go wrong it's better to go full auto with 2 rounds then 8.
  8. So who's the other lady in the shot.....
  9. Well it's finally coming together, It came to me a used Kimber Custom Target II I added a WC bulletproof slidestop, a WC extended mag release, an infinity titanium sear spring, a SVI trigger with flat insert, VCD grips, a metal MSH, a WC magwell and a fiber front sight. Now has a smooth crisp 2# trigger, a 14# recoil with a 17# main.
  10. Thanks for the replies. Here's my info. Been shooting USPSA for almost a year. I'm just a D class Single Stack shooter @ 39.004%. I took second place D class at Area 3 (I had a few brain fades that cost me) I'm looking for a class that will help me pull it all together. I like watching the limited and open M and GM guys for technic but I can only bring so much of that back to Single stack as they don't have to reload as much as i do. I enjoy single stack and don't see me getting away from it anytime soon so i like the idea of learning from a single stack point of view. Thanks Duck
  11. Ok I've been reading up on some different classes (mostly manny and ussa) I'm looking to go through a class to try and become a better shooter/competitor. What classes have some of you gone through and how much did you walk away with? I live in Western Nebraska so there is nothing close by so feel free to post no matter where it is. Thanks guys.
  12. make the front a little heavier then the rear..... but don't get too carried away. As everyone said above let the kids build it it wil be more fun for all. And graphite on the axles works wonders. Best of luck post pics when it's all over
  13. Anyone have a SV single stack? I was wondering what they run a buddy of mine was thinking of getting one.
  14. converse15, Thanks for the reply. I dropped a svi flat trigger in this weekend and love it now i just need to drop in a new grip safety and my kimber project will be ready for ionbond.
  15. I was just wondering how cold weather effects your power factor or if it does? We shot yesterday in 18º weather and and it got me wondering if it was effected?
  16. 1911 - It should be everyones f1rst and last gun
  17. How long did it take you guys to start getting light strikes? I dropped a 17# main in my 1911 .45 and love it I have had no problems after 300 rounds. I shoot reloads (200 lswc with 4.8 of titegroup and a remington primer) gun set up is a kimber custom target II with a 14# recoil and a 17# main. has a 2.6# trigger.
  18. Ok so I have just a few more things on my kimber I want to do before sending it off to a ionbond face lift. I want to change out the grip safety and drop in a flat trigger so what trigger should i drop in? Thanks edited to add - Ok I typed this real fast before going to a meeting. What i was wondering is , is a trigger with inserts worth the money or is a simple metal trigger work just as well?
  19. Where is a good place to order DAA gear I need a new belt. And was wondering who had some good prices. I know CED carries them but can't find any place else.
  20. When is someone gonna come out with a USPSA wii game complete with stage builder and RO training....... might be a fun way to get kids into our sport. not to mention something to do on those cold winter days.
  21. thanks guys I'll dive into it when I get home tonight and see if I can't get it worked out.
  22. Ok I was reading the Antivirus hate rant that got shut down and thought maybe a few guys on here could help me out. I'm a mac guys, could be because I'm a designer...lol but we do own a PC and well it has gotten infected and I don't have a clue how to clean them off. I was reading about software and everything says it blocks them nothing says it removes them......somebody please chime in. Thanks Brad
  23. Thank you all for you input, you've been a big help. I'm going to order a new holster this after noon. As for the cant, I think I'll go back to straight. The cant on my holster is no way near illegal, the angle was well within the 3' range, closer to 2'.
  24. Joe4d, USPSA, SingleStack, kimber customII target. On a side note guys I currently use my holster in a FBI cant, it there a reason I might switch to straight? I went with the cant because when I was learning I keep getting a bad grip on quick draws causing me to not engage the grip safety. but that problem was fixed after some practice and learning the 1911, I just never switched back to a straight holster. Thanks
