  1. I'm sorry but classifiers should be treated the same as any stage in a match. You F up oh well better luck next time. That is why we spend so much time and money ....PRACTICING. Sure I'll set up to practice and shot is over and over but at a match I wouldn't even consider asking to res hoot. If thats the case why don't they just make classifiers the best run out of three and let every one have three goes at it........not hardly. For those that do , do it just ask your self is, it fair to everyone else that had a hard time with their run but didn't re shoot it.
  2. I keep coming back to diamondBLACK done by SP.......
  3. I'm looking to get my Kimber refinished so I'm looking at different ways to go. I want something that will hold up well to the abuse of a ton of dry firing and live fire from a kydex holster. My short list so far is Ionbond Robar NP3 Hard Chrome I like the stealth black matte with no gloss or shimmer, but also don't want my gun to look like everyone elses on the block. Any thoughts open for ideas.
  4. I like the ion bond I am hoping to have my Kimber done real soon It's my understanding that ion bond can be either black or gray/silver can anyone confirm this.
  5. I've got a Kimber Custom II Target and I'm looking to get a tighter set of sights for it maybe ever Fiber Optic if I can find them. I've checked with Novak and they don't make anything for the target models. Does anyone know of a quality sight company that makes a sight for the Kimber target models?
  6. I would definitely pick up the battery pack to be able to use standard batteries as a back up...Thanks guys for all your help ~ Get'em Duck
  7. Thanks for the posts, Chrony is not and issue as I already have one of those for the rifle so just looking at a good timer that is compact and user friendly. Anyone use the wrist band or belt loop for the CED 7000?
  8. Yeah, I've read the other post, that is what got me to looking at the 7000, was just lookin' for that last bit of info to seal the deal before purchasing. The head phone deal would be a plus since i live in a small house.......Thanks guys ~Get'em Duck
  9. 6-Shot, drop me a line about your Bowling Pin and SC matches. I've never shot a pin match but would like to. I'm down in the Panhandle of Nebraska. Thanks ~Get'em Duck
  10. The new guy is looking to pick up a shot timer to practice with. Right now I'm looking at the CED 7000 anyone using this unit if so what do you think. If your using something else what is it and how do you like it? Thanks ~Get'em Duck
  11. I hear ya Kevin on the search thing. You would not believe how many forums I've been to only to find the same topics showing up week after week. This site seems to get a lot of traffic coming from guys who like to shoot. I'm planning on getting my USPSA membership next week......as soon as the paycheck gets deposited. I look forward to warmer weather and longer days so I can shoot more. Still need to get a few things before I get real serious in the competition thing. Right now I do it for fun, the added pressure really points out my flaws. I look forward to talking with you guys and learning better ways to practice to improve my shooting.
  12. I'm hangin' out in the flat lands of Nebraska. I swear I live in a scientific vortex. As we have nothing around us. It's dry and bare every where you look. Moisture falls all around us but just passes us by....lol....even shooting games avoid us. we travel over a 100 miles in all directions to shoot.
  13. To learn about FO sites just look at archery sites. the brightest sights are those with FO coils in some cases turning inches of FO into feet. My vital Gear sites will stay visible in a totally dark room due to the amount of FO used. So the shorter you get it the dimmer it gets. also if you cut the end with scissors and it pinches it it will become dimmer. For best results do like noted above and use a lighter just close enough to heat and melt it get to close and you'll blacken it and it will get dim. Good luck to ya! ~Get'em Duck
  14. Well I've been lurking here for a while haven't needed to post due to finding all my answers with the help of the search tool. I've just got into handguns and USPSA as of late and have been visiting many forums in search of answers and this one I find to be by far the most useful. So I figured it was time to drop a liine an say hello. Thanks guys for all the useful information a new guy could ask for. You can bet you'll be seeing me around more. ~Get'em Duck
