Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey Jon, Take a look at this thread. Little more discussion on the mount can be found here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=163939 See ya Sunday, Matt Jr.
  2. I use the Houge extended latch on my 3 revlovers. I personally like them much better then the stock release.
  3. Thank you to everyone for all of the tips. I applied the tips you gave me and I had a lot of fun. This will not be my last USPSA match. I focused on being safe and making good hits. Reloading while moving definately took some getting used too, but I made it work. So, all in all the day was a good one. Thank you again I am sure I will have more qeustions for you guys. Shoot safe, Matt
  4. Hello, This Sunday I will be shooting my first ever USPSA match and I will be doing it with a wheelgun. I am looking for advice from the USPSA revolver veterns. A little about my shooting experience. I shoot a lot of steel challenge and falling steel matches. But I have never really shot any USPSA or IDPA matches. I have shot a stage or two playing around but never shot a full match. Any tips will be appreicated. My main plan going in is to be safe and have fun beyond that I will take it as it comes. Thanks, Matt
  5. I use a CR Speed holster for my 627, when I shoot steel challenge and falling steel matches. I also have one for my 625. The holster is a very adjustable and seems very secure. I also like having the lock on the holster, added security when moving between stages, painting steel and resetting steel. All in all, I am very happy with my CR speed holsters. Matt
  6. I use the DS-K6 speed loaders with my 617 for steel challenge matches. As it was said before, "The cleaner the chambers the better they work" I keep a 22 cal brush in my range bag. After 2 or so stages I take the gun to the safe table and swipe the brush through each chamber it seems to work quite well. I also find using CCI Mini-mag ammo helps. I find any brand of 22 ammo with a wax coating on it does not work all that well, as the wax tends to gum the chambers up and is horrible on hot days. As for using the loaders themselves I think they are great. I used the HKS loaders in the past and just didnt like them. I like not having to turn a knob to release the rounds. One solid push and the rounds are in the cambers. Hope this helps. Matt
  7. Happy Belated Birthday Cliff!!!!
  8. A History of Smith and Wesson by Roy Jinks Speed Shooter Specialties has it. Great folks to deal with.
  9. I have done the following to my 625: -Action Job -Installed a 0.400" serrated trigger -FO Front sight -Miculek Grip -Hogue Extended Latch -Chamfered the cylinder And then proceeded to shoot the hell out of it.
  10. Another +1 for using the tumbler. Works awesome.
  11. Congratulations!!!!!!! P.S. If you do shoot "Walls of Steel" match let me know. I try and make that match every year.
  12. I recieved my issue of Front Sight last night. It was a nice article. Congratulations again, Cliff.

    Gun Week

I couldn't shoot with anyone dressed like that. I would be laughing to darn hard to hit anything.
