  1. +1 BATF could care less how it is shipped as long as a transfer goes to a dealer. I was told that from the BATF themselves. They have NO authority to set or police postal reg's.
  2. Been hit and miss with me. My last order took 9 months...Yes, 9 months. I don't do business with him anymore.

    rust on CCF

Yeah, rusted is not "Like New" I'd be demanding my money back.
  4. Didn't NROI rule that a 10mm cannot be converted to .40? Last I heard, a Glock 20 was never chambered in .40 and therefore, wouldn't be Limited legal.....Or am I thinking IDPA? I dunno, the rules might have changed... I'm of the logic that a bigger, heavier slide wouldn't do anything for recoil reduction. I've seen those LW 6" G20 slides and they are big. Novel ideal though.
  5. When I RO a stage that has multiple walls/hiding positions, I scan every inch of the stage to ensure I am the last one to come back from being downrange before starting the next shooter. 99 times out of 100, everyone looks out for each other, but it happens sometimes, especially on complicated stages. As an RO, it's ultimately your responsibility...
  6. +1 I polish the crap out of my feed ramps and chamber to a mirror finish on every Glock. Theres enough "meat" there that you would have to do some serious grinding on it to cause any feeding problems.
  7. Lone Wolf XP trigger Spring, LW connector and LW RP striker spring, mirror polish the metal/metal contact surfaces and you have a great trigger for about $20. The LW RP striker spring is the only one I've found that I didn't get an occasional light strike with and I use small rifle primers.
  8. I watched this again last night and actually liked it, it definitely has to grow on you. The storyline was almost identical to "Nacho Libre" Fat, idiot guy spends the entire movie trying to earn the respect of his peers and in the end, earns their respect and gets the girl. Some great lines from the movie: "I'm high as s*** right now, I just licked like 3 toads" "Rub me with oil or die" "What transpires within the confines of the walls of Saddam, stays within the confines of the walls of saddam" "The best part about living in Saddam?.......The sodomy" "Which of the two cities has the most whorehouses?.........So we'll know to specifically stay away from that one"
  9. Benny Hill is the resident Shotgun guru. I wanted to send him a SG several months ago to go over, but he said he was too busy, things might have changed by now. Might be worth giving him a call.
  10. One of those rules that don't make any practical sence, but the call was correct. 9+1 I'm assuming you were shooting ESP?
  11. I dont if SV has aluminum frames, but that's always an option you can consider if the "Butler" dust cover is, in fact, legal. An aluminum frame would probably put you under the limit, but if your gonna use it for CDP as well (165pf+) then that's something you may not want to do.
  12. Put it on a scale, I bet you'll find it's way over the weight limit for ESP. My last IDPA 2011 had a standard cover was 2oz away from being at the limit. You are right, it's NOT full-length, but that's open to IDPAHQ interpretation
  13. Not his best work, but I liked it. He put the hurtin on most of those "pigs"
  14. This looks cool. Straight from the 70's..... http://www.blackdynamitemovie.com/
  15. Laying there on my sofa Saturday, mindlessly flipping through the endless drivel of realitly TV when I come across Def Leppard performing on CMT. My eyebrow slightly raised since DL is one of my favorite bands. Sadly my enthusiasm was crushed when I saw Taylor F'n Swift singing "Photograph." I didn't know whether to laugh or vomit. WTF is Taylor Swift Doing on MTV and WTF is DL doing on CMT? I'm confused... I hate that one of my ATF bands has been reduced to riding the coat-tails of a 19 y/o Flavor of the month "country" singer.
  16. Directly from Carnival Cruise Line Website: Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, incendiary devices or other dangerous goods are strictly prohibited aboard the vessel. Please see section 4(f) of ticket contract for further details. Section 4(f) reads: Weapons, firearms, ammunitions, explosives, incendiary devices, or other dangerous goods are strictly prohibited aboard the vessel. The Guest warrants that no such articles are contained in any receptacle or container carried or presented by him as baggage. Carnival may deny boarding to any Guest traveling with any weapons, firearms, ammunitions, explosives, incendiary devices, or other dangerous goods and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. Carnival will confiscate and turn over to the appropriate governmental authorities any of the above articles found on the Guest or his baggage. The Guest will be solely responsible for any and all damage and/or loss caused by his violation of this policy. I bet you'd find this policy is standard amongst all of them. Leave it at home.
  17. +1 My setup exactly and it's the best IMHO I've found without spending $200. Mirror polish all metal/metal contact surfaces and you'll LOVE the trigger. Crisp and clean all for under $20
  18. Yeah same here. Definitely another "The best parts were in the previews" movie.
  19. +1 My Dr. beat every price I found online. Personally I avoid 1-800 after having dealt with them, but YMMV.
  20. Is the bolt-face to gas-hole distance on an AR barrel the same on a 20" as it would be on a Mid-length or CAR? I have a 20" barrel that I'm thinking about having cut back to 16" and would rather not find out the hard way you can't.
  21. Man you are one lucky SOB. I JUST got my 2nd one back and it took 5 months almost to the day. Biggest bottleneck in that whole process is the fingerprint thing, I heard most of the wait time comes from BATF waiting for a reply from the FBI. I'm having a Trust drawn up as we speak hoping that will speed things up next time. I've got nothing but good to say about the BATF as I've had to call them several times over the last year or so. Each time, they have been extremely helpfull and friendly.
  22. AR15.com has tons of info regarding Trusts and Class 3s. I thought about doing a Quicken Trust for my future Class 3's, but have "heard" the BATF is starting to scrutinize those very closely now and are declaring many of those "Do-it-Yourself" Quicken Trusts invalid, however YMMV. Long story short, if your CLEO will sign a Form 1 or 4, then that's the best way to go. http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=6&...f=17&page=1
  23. I'm a member of half a dozen different forums, each of which are for different hobbies and there is one comonality on all of them. There are always 2-3 experts who's opinion is the ONLY opinion that matters, if yours differs from theirs, then your wrong. You just put those kinda folks on ignore and press on. And yes, the watch-collecting community IS the heart of all evil in this world
  24. I recently (10 days ago) had surgery and am almost positive the Doctor botched it big time. At this point, I'm considering legal action and would like some informal advice from either a Lawyer or MD as to what to do. I demanded a follow-up visit ASAP for Monday so the Dr. who did the surgery can look at his work and give his opinion, but I honestly don't want this guy operating on me again. This was a simple surgery which is probably going to leave me permanently scarred and possibly less-functional. Please PM me if you are either an MD (Urologist) or Lawyer and willing to give a little advice. I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Please no comments, just PM's.
