  1. For 1000 .40's, this is what I pay. Precision Lead bullets $45/1000 Winchester Primers $15/1000 Titegroup Powder, roughly $12/thousand Once fired brass $9/thousand This comes up to $81 per thousand and they are loaded the way I like them. If you want to shoot alot, reloading is the only way you can do it.
  2. The official accident report said something to the affect of "He determined his height needed to be 1500 ft. to perform that loop when it fact the minimum had to be 2500 ft. The report also said he lost his slot on the team and has been reassigned to another job at the Pentagon. Oops!!!
  3. onboard camera captures Thunderbird ejection
  4. How does the painted grip hold up to gun cleaners? I had one painted and Hoppes took the paint right off.
  5. I fear midgets and men in thongs. A man-midget in a thong is the worst
  6. I buy once fired .40's for $9/Thousand and don't pick it up. It's just too cheap to justify picking it up.
  7. It told me I'm an idiot and should never leave the house by myself or be in posession of sharp, shiny objects. ISFP Introverted Sensing Feeling Perceiving Strength of the preferences % 78 11 22 56
  8. 50/50 Break-Free and Slided Glide Lite works good for me
  9. I talked with someone at STI this afternoon about something else and asked how much the Stinger is, he told me it's $2700 and they already have alot of orders for it. It's comped only (no barrel ports) and lead time is about 8 weeks as of now. Pictures should be up once the guys get back from the SHOT show.
  10. Get the Koenig hammer and don't look back.
  11. at $9/thousand through brassmanbrass, .40 isn't even worth picking up.
  12. I had that problem about a month ago, it would double every now and then, I couldn't get it to double when I tried to make it do so. I backed out my overtravel screw about 1/2 turn and the problem went away.
  13. That's not necessarily true. I handloaded for years using data from Hodgdons and Speer loading manuals and never had any problems. If anything, the book loads are on the conservative side. You do not need a chrono to handload, but you need access to one if you want to shoot USPSA or any other type of discipline. Actually, very few people outside of competitive shooters use a chrono.
  14. Thats kinda what I thought, interesting reading. I will probaby just go with a Bar-Sto or Nowlin Bull barrel.
  15. Definitely reload. You can reload a thousand FMJ .40's that are to YOUR liking for around $95/thousand. Even less if you use lead. If you are shooting 1000 rounds a week, justify the $500-$700 for a complete reloading setup because it will save you a ton of $$$ in the long-run. I couldn't shoot much if I didn't reload.
  16. I did a search and didn't come up with much, but Limcats website says the tungsten/stainless barrels are 2.5 oz. heavier than a factory bull barrel, does that make alot of difference at 170pf? (Using 180grn .40) For those who have one, is recoil really reduced that much to justify the cost?
  17. Using the old style followers will solve that problem
  18. I got an STI Recoil Master and got rid of it within 4 day's. Muzzle Flip was actually MORE with the Recoil Master. Just my 2cents. I much prefer the Springco system. If you already have a springco, stick with it.
