  1. I usually do so I can at least see where my shots are exactly. I plead my case once at a state championship and the SO threatened to DQ me for almost touching my target because I was attempting to show him there were two shots and not one.
  2. True...it is a smaller club and I'm sure they need as many as are willing. I will definitely remember for future matches.
  3. The time I did squad with them it was by mistake but I went with it...will not again however and I will bring it up in conversation with a MD that I trust in the club to look into it. The last time this happened I had a buddy videoing and one of the procedurals they gave should not have been a procedural...when they gave it to me it pissed me off so I began watching them score everyone's target and then theirs and several times I recall them calling a "1" a "0" on their targets when it was clearly outside of the "0" ring. The funny thing was that even with them scoring the way they did and handing out the procedural, I still ended up beating one of them by about 15 seconds overall...the other guy was more...we were all shooting in the same class/division.
  4. I tend not to be argumentative, especially at the local level, but it does get to me at times when I see this happen at the club. I have always wanted to get into USPSA but there are no clubs close to me that do USPSA. This club is about 30 minutes from me and they only do IDPA unfortunately.
  5. I will do so IF there is a next time but I will be requesting specific squad leaders in the future so hopefully I will not experience it again.
  6. If you are asking how much of your finger you should put on the trigger, I always use just the first pad of my trigger finger.
  7. I find myself checking shipment status almost daily when I order anything.
  8. At the local level, if you are in a squad with a particular SO and Scorekeeper and you observe them score everyone else by the book but watch them score themselves with leniency...and also watch them dish out procedurals where it borders questionable and/or it shouldn't have been given...what would you do? Do you let it go, ignore and continue the fun or would you make an issue?
  9. SSP, EX...It has been a while since I've shot a match though. Have only shot SSP.
  10. My understanding is you always load to division capacity, 10+1, unless the cof states different.
  11. I know at the club I shoot at it would possibly be a firm warning and no DQ...I say this because I was keeping score one match and a shooter who had completed his cof discharged a round during the SO's commands to unload show clear etc which sprayed myself and the SO with gravel and he was not DQ'd...I think at any state level they would have DQ'd him/her.
  12. I grip as high as possible and firm. I don't grip too hard as I find myself thinking about it which in turn throws my sight acquisition off...took a lot of practice for me to figure out what's most comfortable.
  13. I have about $1600 tied up in my G17 Open gun...I can't imagine spending that kind of cash on a Glock.
  14. Congrats on your finish...I don't think it's sandbagging.
  15. When I was very active in the club I shot at, the scores were usually posted by the following day...at best two days later.
  16. Like everyone else says...invest in the tools to be able to do the work yourself. Once you figure out the specs you want to build to, shop for good deals on good quality parts...you get what you pay for on some parts. www.ar15.com has a lot of links you can shop at...one I have purchased from is Rainier Arms, they make quality parts and offer a lot of other makes as well and their customer service is great. There are many more obviously, that is just one I have used with my builds.
  17. I put a 2lb ZevTech race connector in my 34 plus the parts you mentioned except I purchased a rounded titanium safety plunger with light spring. You can try a lighter guide rod spring, I have an 11lb ISMI spring on my 34...see if changing that helps.
  18. perfect nice open glock! Thanks, did a lot of work to it...shoots flawless with standard 9mm ammo. Have shot less than 200 rounds through it without a glitch.
  19. Nice one. I have been given "if you are finished..." had the mag dropped and saw a standing piece of steel. Shot the steel strong hand, then showed the RO the empty gun. At that time the RO calmly said "if clear, hammer down and holster". Haha, nice
  20. That could be a legitimate argument in some cases and I could definitely see that side if it were potentially the case...but in this case it was evident the shooter was finished and the ND occurred after the SO gave the command to unload and show clear etc.
  21. I have mine between 2 and 2.5 lbs...would like to go a bit lighter just to see if I like it or not.
  22. Very nice, I built a Glock Open gun with a G17.
  23. Good...That's the way it should be, in my opinion.
  24. Ha, you are correct...I will never refer to it as such again. :-)
