I just bought a finishing reamer from Brownells and did my CZ myself. One load works for all my 9mm guns.

A little off topic here, has anyone tried the Lucas Ultrasonic cleaner in either of these machines?

I looking for a small table top unit. Just wondering what you guys think of a Hornady Ultrasound versus a generic table top parts washer. It's just for the yearly cleaning of my handguns.
Thanks

I just tried some 124gr in my Shadow 2 and it loved them. Fed well and were very accurate. My bullet feeder didn't like them at all. I kept getting upside down bullets every 10th round no matter what I did.

Looking at CO progression, it got so much more popular after the mag capacity change. That's why people looking along the same line at other divisions, e.g. Prod, Limited, start to wonder if high-cap 9mm is the solution to merge/reduce/revive iron divisions. It makes sense because CO has been a very successful experiment.
I initially didn't think that they should have increased the mag capacity. Now that I have shot it some, I think it was a good move.

I'm now 68 years old and shoot mostly for the enjoyment of the game. I shot CO for one season in 2018 and liked it a lot. I then discovered Open. The dot was much easier to see and with major scoring you just aimed for the center of the target and pulled the trigger. A lot of fun and you could go very fast. I'm now kind of bored with it. I picked up a CZ Shadow 2 Orange and have been shooting limited minor and can see why people like it. But, the sights are really hard for me to see. I'm probably going to wonder back to CO next year. Side question - Would it be against the wishes of the CZ purists if I was to have CZC cut the side for their RDS system?
Thanks

CZ HIRERCHY

I think this is unique to the Orange guns.

When I opened up my Shadow 2 Orange to do the internal polishing, it was amazing how the machining was so much better compared to my other CZ's.

I've owned a CZ85, SP01 Shadow, Accu-Shadow, and now a Shadow 2 Orange. The Orange is by far the best for me.

Just curious if anyone has gone back to iron sights. I switched back to limited minor after shooting open and carry optics for a couple of years. I still can't see the sights without readers, but still I find it somewhat easier to shoot. If I look back at my carry optics scores, I'm scoring slightly better with my limited minor gun. I just shoot for fun these days, limited minor is kind of fun.

Why would a JHP clean the comp?

Make sure that it has the proper STI follower. One of mine had the previous generation in it, wouldn't work at all.

The timer is designed to wipe out your short term memory, so that's normal
. I'm also 68, but have been shooting USPSA/IDPA for 17 years. It takes practice to plan stages. Watch some of the more experienced shooters. Ask other shooters, most will gladly help you out. Use the walk thru time to repeat the course over and over. Some people say shooting a higher capacity gun helps.
Hope this helps...

I like the dot better. I like both sights about the same. I think the DPP and Sig Pro 1 are the only ones that share the same footprint. I had the DPP on my Legion while I waited for the Pro to become available. Some people say that other Sigs have the same footprint, but the screw sizes are different.
I have 6 moa RTS2s on my open guns and revolver, it's my favorite...

I just put a Sig Romeo 1 Pro - 6 MOA in place of my DPP 2.5. I had it on a Sig P320 Legion X5. It's easier on the eyes...

Hey All,
I was trying to look up my expired membership to see if I have any classifiers on record. It keeps giving me errors. Is the website broken or is it because my membership is not yet current?
Thanks

Just curious, why is there both a PCC link and a regular place to post?
Thanks

I run 2.9gr of TiteGroup under a 160gr Bayou bullet loaded to 1.160. It gives me 132 power factor. This is with Starline brass and Federal Small Pistol primers...

Ron, I'll probably bring my 627 to CrossRoads next week. I usually have a red dot on it and shoot it in minor open. Lots of revo guys over at the CIPS matches. Let me know if I can help.

Fenwick, I bought the parts and had Rick down in Osceola do the gunsmithing part. He did a really good job for me.

Why do 1911/2011 guns stop at 2 or 3 rounds when this happens? Why don't they go until the mag is empty?
load ammo to fit all guns or ream chamber

I did it by hand. I just put the barrel in the vice with some leather on each side, put the reamer in a handle, oiled up the barrel, did a couple of turns on the handle. Let the reamer do the work. I then cleaned the barrel out and chamber checked the ammo. I think I just had to do this twice. Must have worked, no more problems, and the gun is still really accurate.
