Eastern Nebraska Icore will hold matches again next year at Eastern Nebraska Gun Club.
They will be held on the second Sunday in May, July, August, and October.
The Midwest is scheduled for the first Saturday in September. This will get away from the CWS and should be nicer weather.
Hope to boost our numbers some this year.

Unfortunately, the Rocky Mountain match is the weekend before. I plan on shooting that and then heading up into the mountains for a week.
Will you guys have some ICORE classifiers with your Sunday matches?

Slight thread drift here. With the changes to L10 and the addition of LO, would you invest any money in a gun for either of these divisions? Sounds like there could some tweaking of the rules for a while.
-
I wonder how they handle classifiers that are already out there. If you classified with a 2011 shooting major and now want to shoot revolver, that won't work out too well.

The new division will be named LOCO.
Now, that's funny...

Looking at the guns that I have in my safe now, I have quite a few options with the proposed changes. My 1911 can now shoot in Single stack and L10(with a dot), the same for my Revo. My CZ Shadow 2 can now shoot carry optics and the new Limited Optics, with the hammer back and a race holster. My CZ Parrot can do both open and Limited optics by adding a slide ride dot, and removing the comp. Looks like fun...

20 pages to remind me why I seldom come to this forum any longer. Shameful all the back and forth, name calling and general denigration of others.
I've been on this forum since 2004. In that time, I have used the ignore user feature 1 time. In this thread alone I have added 3 people to that list. I think everyone should have an opinion to be heard, but when it gets to the point of insulting others I'm done with that person.

Actually, I've shot red dot revolver, carry optics and open for the past 5 years. I've heard those numbers before. I wonder how they measured this. I suppose shooting steel challenge with the same gun set up as irons and a red dot would give you some idea(like Pskys2 mentioned). As you said, some people might do better with one or the other. I might give this a go at the steel match.
-
I shot my 627 with irons at a local indoor match a couple of weeks ago. I thought it felt that it was faster than the dot.
-
I wonder how a low cap iron and a low cap optics division would work. Major/minor scoring, allow magwells, no thumb rests. It won't make it perfect, but still a place to play. I suppose you could make it 8/10 rounds at the buzzer to bring revolvers a bit more competitive.
-
I would like to have seen them use an 8 round major and 10 round minor scoring like Single Stack. I'm thinking that a 9mm 1911 with an optic might be fun in this division. I'll shoot it with my red dot revo to get ready for ICORE matches.
I had cataract surgery and now my eyes are better for irons. I can use +1 safety glasses and still see the sights. I didn't expect those results.
-
So, revolvers with optics would now be allowed in L10?
-
Here is a spreadsheet that I use to track things. We have a local GM who shoots with us all the time and is amazingly consistent in his scores. I compare my scores to his. You can also use it to compare to people in your own division. Just copy the first line to the next line to add a new match.

Do any of these guns have popple holes?

Hi Warren, I have a 617-2 .22lr revolver with the aluminum cylinder. Will your hammer fit these?
Thanks

You could pick up a CZ CzechMate. They are reliable, accurate, and not a lot of money.

It's already dead. With Limited and Open not too far behind. Couple more years and it'll be 90+% Carry Optics. From there, maybe they'll go to a division that's basically an obstacle course with a toy gun, so as to attract more people.
Maybe they could use a cap gun...

I got my kit today, nice quality stuff. I have a 627 that was tuned and running reliably at 6.0 lbs(Federals only). I took out all the parts that will be replaced by the kit. I then installed everything, 11 rebound spring and hammer set at 32 ounces at lift off. It gave me a 6lb 7oz trigger pull. I took it to the range and shot 10 moon clips thru it. No misfires of any sort. While it is a bit heavier, it feels much smoother. It's hard to describe to the way the trigger feels. But, I like it a bunch. Good job..

Here's a posting from Enos Forum:
This link says it has the entire document, my security won't let me see it.

I emailed PASA and asked them. This answered right away:
Sorry, the person who was in charge of SS back in the olden days died several years ago.
So, I don't think that they have them....

Does anyone know what happened to the results for the older single stack classics?

I've never broken a slide stop in any of my guns. What goes on when/if it happens?
