  1. I looked at the CGR race cut sights, but I went with a standard set from Brownell's. I don't think that I would want the rear sight cut any wider, but that's probably up to each person. The front sight uses a screw to hold it on. I had a tool from a previous sight installation. If you could find a small enough socket or nut driver that would work, too. Make sure that you use locktite to hold it on. I have a sight pusher that I picked up somewhere in the past. I suppose a brass or plastic rod could be used to tap the old sight out and the new sight in. Just take your time and go slowly. :)

  2. Hey Everyone,

As I getting ready to load some .38 special loads, I found out that the last box of primers that I bought were magnum small pistol primers. I have no clue to where the receipt would be, so I am stuck with them. Can use these for .38 special and .40 S&W loads? Neither load will be hot loads...

    Thanks

  3. Sounds like the barrel length and weight issues will be straightend out (except for 610's maybe). It sure looks like an equipment race will be coming up for ESR. An 8 shot 4 inch revolver won't come cheap. I'm glad I already have a 627...

  4. Good question. Right now I'm sure a lot of the IDPA revolver shooters are asking the same question. I like revolvers because they are harder to shoot, harder to reload, and I don't have to pick up my brass. The revolver shooters are real good bunch of people. They seem to enjoy their guns in a different way from the other shooters.

  5. Did anyone else notice that item 5-C for ESR states that the maximum weight is 42 ounces? According to S&W's website my 4inch 625 weighs 43 ounces, a 610 weighs 45 ounces, and a 627 weighs 44 ounces.

  6. Hey All,

Just coming over to USPSA from IDPA. I have been shooting a 625-4inch with a power factor of 142. The local USPSA club does shoot a fair amount of courses with 40-45 yard targets. I was wondering if the 5inch would be that much of a help. Also, I would like to start loading up to major power factor. Again, would the 5inch help tame the increase in recoil. If this is worth it, I would keep my current 625 and pick up another 5inch one.

    Thanks :D

  7. I ordered a pair of sunglasses from NYX Golf. I got a pair of prescription lenses that fit on the inside of them. They work perfect. For normal reading I need a +2.0, but for shooting a +1.0 allows me to see the sights perfectly. The target is a bit fuzzier, but good enough for 25 yard IDPA shots. There is a good article on them at SportShooter.com. Try this link :D
