  1. You're right, send it to me and I'll shoot it. I've got a C-More just waiting to mount up.
  2. Well I spoke too early on the 41. I won the auction but the guy apparently sold it out of his store last week. Kind of blows since he posted the auction on Friday last week. Guess he couldn't be bothered to take it down. I'll try again.
  3. OK, I picked up a 41 on Gunbroker for $705.00 shipped. I put myself on the list for a Bully barrel. Now I just need mags, ammo, another C-More, grips and to tinker with it. Any one have any leads on a company with CCI SV in stock?
  4. There's one on Gun Broker now. I got mine direct from STI months ago. There out there.
  5. So if I buy a 41 and a Bully Barrel, who do I get to do the custom work on it? Specifically trigger job, remove mag disconnector, the fitting of the barrel if it needs it. I'm guessing I can probably figure it out on my own, but if someone already has it dialed in, I'd just as soon send it off. I think TG Reaper mentioned a 24 ounce trigger job, sounds good to me.
  6. First off this was used at the Crazy Croc matches. They are USPSA recognized but allow certain exceptions ot the rules. The only way to get 60 rounds on a stage. They were completely legal for the match shown in the video. As far as the "practical" nature of the target. I can guess that the people posting have never been in a shooting or actually had to point a gun at someone. A target that simulates a roughly head sized target moving in an erratic and changable path, up, down, fast, slow, among a field of other shoot and non shoot targets. That's a heck of a lot more practical than most other stages. An argument can easily be made that the Texas Star is one of the most practical target we shoot at in USPSA.
  7. You've probalby got a gun made on a new mold. Some of the newer RTF also have LBP's that are a pain to insert. If you really have a problem with this Glock makes a slightly undersized LBP you can switch out to.
  8. I love waking up to early morning emails from Linda. I'm in at 90. Just not sure about my shooting buddies. I'll wait a bit till they wake up before bugging them. Now I've just gotta get through surgery this morning and physical therapy till Benning. This match is my goal though
  9. How was the time set out of curiousity. My computer and Iphone were 11 seconds off. I was on the phone with a buddy who was a second off of mine. Any other match it wouldn't be an issue but when the match fills in less than 1 second, it kind of is. I got the error message on both my first submissions. Second time they both went through.
  10. Yep Albany is 25 min away. Dundee is 1 hour 25 minutes away and Sherwood is about 1 hour 40 min away. Details and club schedules can be found at www.Columbia-cascade.org. Pm me if you need anything else. I'm the SC for that area.
  11. Woah! Was it on "Bridge the Gap"? Sorry to hear that you got hurt. -Chet Nope, on the stage with the long range poppers. Started the run and ruptured my achilles tendon on the first step. Made it to the table with the box before I decided trying to run with a foot that wouldn't move was not a good idea.
  12. Well I finished both matches today. Managed to blow up a case with an out of battery shot during the limited match. I managed to break myself in the Open match. Looks like it's gonna be awhile before I get to play again. Stages were great again. The weather was so much better this year though. It was just about perfect. The guys at USSA did a fantastic job.
  13. So I'm looking at the standards course description. I'm confused... can we stack shots or not.
  14. It was kind of funny though how much of a mess they made with the LEO plaques at Nationals last year. They ended up giving me the High LEO plaque in Production when the National Champion is a cop. They said the top 16 weren't eligible for Category awards, then gave Ted Puente his 4 days later. I gave the plaque to Bob.
  15. What's all this strong/weak hand stuff? I thought USPSA was supposed to be freestyle? I know you've been in California for awhile now Mitch, but remember, those of us in the NW have Standards.
  16. Yep, I got a look at their order and production numbers at the end of April. They were about 167K behind then with a monthly production around 60+K. I talked to Chris Edwards from Glock a couple days ago and he said they were over 200K. Glock also only builds to order. So the 200K are guns they actually have existing orders for. On the upside, Glock just got some huge new machining centers in around the end of April that should be either online or coming online soon to try and pick up some of the slack.
  17. This is an easy one. Come to Tri-County on Saturday for the GSSF match. We'll have a Glock armorer there and he will repair or replace any worn parts and can probably do a pretty good problem diagnosing the problem. He will probably also switch out your trigger bar to the new spec one that is a bit longer at the tail to increase striker travel. And best of all he'll do it for free. Send me a PM if you have any questions about it.
  18. Is it a 2 3/4 inch shell or 3" shell. Measure from the back of the cartridge to the front. If it's longer than 2 3/4 inch you've got the wrong ammo for your gun. The SPX I worked with ate anything of the proper length from light bird to magnum 2 3/4 inch buck.
  19. Couple updates. We will have a food vendor on the range. I'm considering using this same company for a couple other matches this summer so let me know how he is. We'll have hot dogs, sausages and burgers at least. If anyone is looking for some extra-curricular activities outside the match this is Rose Festival weekend in Portland. Lots going on downtown and all the Navy ships should be in port. On Sunday we're holding Speed Steel match at the same time as the GSSF. Shoot two matches on one trip at the same range, not a bad deal.
  20. Try GunBroker. They have a listing for FFL's willing to do transfers, just like this. There are several in Delaware. http://gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp
  21. That part where it say any single stack that meets SS rules means no hi-caps for USPSA Multi-Gun. Different three gun matches use different rules though. If it's IMGA you're looking to shoot, you might be okay.
  22. GSSF is very much an accuracy game. Gun quick to the target and quick in between targets and very good sight picture and very good trigger control on each target. It's very easy to drop a 3 second penalty or two on the close range targets if you get going to fast. Taking an extra bit of time will pay off in lower penalties. The fastest shooters may end up with a couple penalties, but they're pretty minimal. On Major Sub be very cautious on the plate rack. You only will have 7 rounds for 6 plates. After that first miss you're adding 10 seconds per plate left standing. It's easy to add a lot of penalties on the plates if you're not careful.
  23. We're running a GSSF match at Tri-County Gun Club in Sherwood, OR on June 6-7. For those unfamiliar with GSSF it is the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation. There is information online about the organization at www.gssfonline.com. This is a very easy sport to compete in. Glock pistols are the only guns allowed (it is sponsored by Glock afterall). All the courses start from the low ready and are limited to no more than 10 rounds in the magazine and 11 per string. No reloads and no movement. There are three stages, a plate rack, a standards course and a mix of steel and paper, similar to a USPSA stage. I think these are great matches to introduce new people to competition at. If you've got a friend who has been thinking about taking a crack at USPSA, bring them out for a GSSF match and show them how fun it can be. For GSSF you do have to be a member, it's $35.00 for the first year and you can sign up at the range. The match fee is $25.00 for each Division you want to sign up for, and you can sign up for several if you want. Glock gives away a lot of guns and prizes away at these matches, both by order of finish and random draws. PM me if you have any questions.
  24. Shot my first IDPA match in about 12 years last month. Fired the classifiers after. SSP, ESP, CDP, and SSR were all MA. Took twice with the CDP because I had a bunch of malfunctions the first time through. ESP was 72 and change with a Glock 34.
  25. Looks like it's about 2200 feet and change. Doubt it will make a difference either way.
