  1. Yep, that mod is on my to do list for my SLP>>>>
  2. Glock 17 factory barrel. Just got back with preliminary chrono only results. BBI 130 Loaded to 1.135 with 3.6gr of Solo 1000. Indoors In order 1025 fps 1040 fps 938 fps 942 fps 958 fps After the first two rounds fired I had a grin from ear to ear and then fired the last 3. Things that make you go
  3. Been using 3.4 with great results....Makes PF no problem..
  4. I have ordered some of the BBI 130 and some Solo 1000 for use in my glock 17 and 34. Thank you all for submitting the load data. Can't wait to try them.. I have read that you guys are having good luck with shooting these out of the glock barrels. I tried some of the Bayou Bullets out of my 34 and experienced severe leading at the crown after less than 20 rounds.
  5. Have some old west coast 200FP laying around and plan on running them through my glock. What would be a good starting OAL to Try? I am going to push these with 4.0 of clays... Thanks
  6. I am getting ready to load some west coast 200 FP. I am planning on just putting them behind 4.0 of clays like my 230gr IDPA load but I can recall experimenting with the same OAL as the 230 with poor cycling results. What should the OAL length be for this load? Also does anyone think titegroup would be a better powder for this load? I have read most of the search results and there is some conflicting OAL's. Mostly this will be used in my Glock 21 and 30SF. My well broken in Kimber will cycle everything under the sun.
  7. Reason for asking is I have heard that the KKM barrels will not fit rounds ran through the dillon die and that if you are going to shoot a KKM barrel the "U" die is a must. I picked up a barrel from remsport and so far with only 100 rounds through the gun the bullets fit fine. They fit well in my dillon case gauge as well but one can never be too sure. I am currently running BayouBullets 135 behind 3.6 of titegroup and it was grouping remarkably well with the remsport barrel. I tried a few through the glock factory barrel and experienced leading at the muzzle after only a few rounds.
  8. A friend of mine is telling me that because I shoot mostly glocks in 9mm and salvage most of my brass that I need to use a "U" die to get rid of the glock buldge. I did a search and couldn't find much on the subject. I have never had a problem with my brass but he does make a valid point as you can see the buldge a the bottom of the case. I use a dillon 550 with dillon dies and have the sizing die all the way down until it kisses the shellplate. Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated. If there are any other threads that covered this could you guys post the link...Thanks
  9. I got my FN from Tanner Sports Center in PA. I bought it off gunbroker for 849.00 + 20.00 Shipping. It did come with both pistons and comes with the piston for lighter loads installed. Having tons of F/O rod around it was an easy switch to swap out to the green. Out of the box it preformed awsome. I highly suggest the FN SLP Mark 1 with its 8 round capacity over the FN SLP with its 6 round tube and shorter barrel. On each of the shotgun stages at the match I was easily able to load the additional 8 rounds (out of 2 belt loaders on my strong side) with ease as opposed to my 1100 tactical. Not that I couldn't load the 1100 quickly but the FN is a little easier. And yes my 1100 did have the EZ loader on it. I ended up 9th in my division and 14th overall which wasn't to bad as this is only my 3rd 3 gun match. Once I get the rifle optic addressed I will be good to go.
  10. Actually I shot on Saturday. The match was very well run and as usual the Coast Guard did a great job. I did hear some grumbles about there not being enough rifle rounds at distance but the did have a low light/foggy room stage that was very interesting. I feel bad for the competitors that shot Sunday as the weather was terrible. Great match, looking forward to next years..
  11. After reading on here for a while about which shotgun was going to replace my 1100 tactical I decided on the FN SLP Mark 1. I use it for the USCGA 3 gun match here in CT and couldn't be happier. My remington 1100 would only run the AA 1300 FPS shells so I had a good supply on hand. With only 25 rounds through it before the match and with myself and another shooter in my squad using it the results were pretty good. The only issue the other guy had with it was that he was using wally mart value pack winchester shells and they wouldn't cycle the gun reliably. I gave him some of my ammo to finish the match and the gun then worked without a hitch. I had swapped the red F/O front for a green rod and getting the lifter welded is next on my to do list. The only thing i did notice was the shell several times would hang on the tab that holds the shell in the tube as I tried to load. I am thinking that over time that this will wear in or perhaps it needs to be de-burred of any rough edges. Can't wait til the next 3 gun match..... now if I can only find a 1-4 power scope for my AR
  12. Well, you hit the key word there pretty hard there. Any gun carried for "DUTY" should be in the factory configuration period. With all factory parts. Being a LEO take advantage of the program glock offers and buy an additional G34 and experiment with that one. My carry glocks are all bone stock with all glock factory parts. My competition glocks are all worked over and all have some sort of 3.5 trigger. I have had great luck with Lone wolf connectors and 6lb trigger return springs. My competition guns also have the reduced weight firing plunger springs and the plunger itself are rounded over in a lathe. The connector itself and the rear of the trigger bar are polished to a mirror finish. That's pretty much it. My competition G17 has gotten me both my SSP and ESP master in a little over 3 yrs. I find that the 17 handles quicker than my 34.
  13. I bet that if you put the glock factory striker spring in the ammo will function flawlessly. That spring is the culprit 99 percent of the time. Factory spring no problems. Learned this the hard way in a match.
  14. You might try TKW holsters. (860)510-3890 The owner is a competitive shooter himself. Great stuff

    Glock G35 Holster

TKW Holsters all the way. The owners of blade tech dont shoot matches but the owner of TKW does. You can get the TKW holsters from MLEshootingsports.com
  16. Did I not trim it back enough?? Could you post a pic of how it looks
  17. Joe, spent 3 hours on the mod but the trigger will not reset forward most of the time. I have to manually pull it out. I copied your pictues to the letter. Where should I start trying to diagnose this problem?
  18. I am using a 13lb spring on my 34 and 17
  19. For IDPA I use a Berry's 147gr over 3.4 grains of universal clays. Usually is makes about a 128-130PF out of my glock 34. At the NE regional match it just squeaked over the 125PF mark. I re-checked it when I got home from the match and it made 128-130PF. Upon further review I learned that the gun used to chrono the rounds at the match did not have a glock factory barrel but an aftermarket which I think led to a little slower numbers. Very very light recoil and more accurate than I will ever be...
  20. I use 3.4gr of universal clays and on my chronograph it was making a 131 PF with low felt recoil and no smoke. At the NE Regional match I just squeaked out making the PF by 20fps. I do experience a couple of rounds that tumble but the load is generally more accurate than I can shoot it..
