  1. Sounds more like it doubled. Replace the trigger assembly with the cruciform. Sometimes you can have a bump fire that seems like a double.
  2. Switch to W231 and use load data for jacketed bullets with Ranier - they were never as fast as lead bullets with the same load data.
  3. Rifle - you might could use pistol with a really heavy bullet.
  4. Recently had to remove rig at a local match - grabbed our supervising RO and told him what I needed - he followed me to the safe area and had me stow magazines away from the safe table then remove the rig and make the adjustments and then re kit back up and then reclaim mags and rejoin the match. I was satisfied with this approach but I do not know how it would have been handled if observed without an RO in attendance. Thr primary goal is repeatable and observable safety.
  5. I have gotten good results with both Clays and W231 - seems like it is a toss up on which is better - accuracy is great with either.
  6. Remember the powder throws are based on volume - the powder settles and packs as you load - some powders are better than others - once it settles in keep the powder cup filled - in general for pistol shooting the throw differences will not be too great but it is a good reason not throw to min PF or if you do check your measure often.
  7. Do some weak hand shooting with it too - it will often be the one that is harder to control and an AD is an AD and best avoided.
  8. I use the 550b for 223 and 308 and it works fine - I get great results with TAC powder and good results with Varget - do wait for the powder drop it takes longer than you expect.
  9. So Mark we can expect a lot of steel at the next match?
  10. Joe - I will try the clays and see what happens - certainly economical - but if they call me Willie ....
  11. Joe - I had trouble with tumbling with clays - we got enough tumbling with Willie's to add another one.
  12. I chronoed the 3.8 w231 with 180g lead and got 136pf from the G35 - I may drop the charge a bit and see if it is reliable softer.
  13. Skip the Rocket - get a Lone Wolf or even a Glock 3.5. You can use the Glock guide rod and pop off the retainer then change springs and put it back on. You are likely to have about a 4.5lb trigger. You can get lower with a weaker striker spring and perhaps a stronger trigger spring. You would do well to get a reliable package from Glocktriggers.com. Practice a lot - do not start with a light trigger pull you will AD/ND.
  14. Thank you for the graphic reminder of good practices. Heal fast and shoot straight.
  15. I tried 3.8 W231 with 180g lead today and was satisfied in the accuracy and feel of the gun as a minor load - quite a contrast after shooting major - I did put in a 13lb recoil spring for the minor loads.
  16. Same maker? Cant find anything on Master Tac No Master Tac is a local shooter who decided he could make a good Kydex - very similar to ReadyTac but with some options.
  17. I am looking for an accurate reliable load yielding at least 700 fps (126pf). I prefer W231 and option of Solo 1000 Less good option Bullseye Glock 35
  18. Master Tac Ready Tac pretty much the same.
  19. Could'a been a defective barrel - send it back to Glock and let them decide. I tried a Lee disk loader for a while - I had erratic throws with it - went to a Dillon and life is much easier.
  20. Retention of value on a 35 is much better than a 22 - 22s are a glut on the used market. I like shooting the 35 both in Limited and IDPA.
  21. G35 without a doubt. Sent by me typing at my computer.
  22. One little side effect to consider - lot's of folks get the farts while they are on it - there are sulfur compounds that really set you up to stink.
  23. Are the mags new - springs fresh in the mags = start with the mags.
