I don't know of any off the shelf conversion. I have been looking into this for a couple of years.
You could probably use any of several of the 1911 conversions. The problem has always been magazines.
I have a marvel conversion for one of my STIs . It appears that what Marvel did is fabricate a pair of adapter plates that are screwed to what looks a lot like a Colt Ace mag so that it would mimic the profile of the STI magazine.
It seems you should be able to do the same thing for a Caspian. So far I just haven't been able to find anyone that was willing to fabricate the adapters.

As stated above what to get depends on what you intend to use it for.
I like the Iphone it has a great ui and lots of good aps avaliable.
Having said that if I were going to use this phone for a lot of email or text messaging I'd want the blackberry (one with the qwerty keyboard). I just have never liked touch screens for text entry.
(This post was typed on the old blackberry 8700 I still use).

I have a Giraud (which is like a Gracey but has removable cutter heads so once adjusted you can leave the cutter alone). It is fast and easy to use. (Think in terms of an electric pencil sharper for cases).

You mean you can actually tell the difference in .5 a power?
What NF guy did you talk to that told you that? Was it at SHOT? A few of those guys actually get on line and can clear the air up for everyone, and if I knew who it was that told you that, I could get them in here.
If the .5x in question is the difference from 1.0 -> 1.5x absolutely you can tell the difference and it matters. From 14x to 14.5x it wouldn't make much difference.
The reason that it makes a difference is that with the scope on 1.0x I am going to be shooting the gun with both eyes open and if what I seen in my dominate eye doesn't match what I see in the non-dominant eye it will not for me at least be quite as fast.
I went down this road with one of the IOR 1.1-4 scopes (which is a great scope) but even the roughly 10% magnification over 1x messed with my head.
That's why I use a Meopta KDot on my primary rifle and a weaver 1-3x on my backup.
If it were a true 1x I'd be all over this since NightForce glass + 6x at the top end would represent a useful improvement over the meopta.

I have had good luck using Hornady seating dies as they are quite cheap and have a floating bushing/seating stem that holds the neck and bullet more or less concentric while the bullet gets seated. This seems to work pretty well. (Downside is no micrometer to let you change OAL easily like on the Redding).

I'll probably buy one. Beats loading them on a single stage press like I do it now.

I like the SPR-E with the Meopta (although the SPR works ok for me too if I slide the scope a bit farther forward in the rings.) One of the great thing about either of the mounts (and the LT107 for that matter) is that at least on my guns if I adjust them the way that Larue instructs and put them on the correct slot on the pic rail they return to zero very nicely.
Buy a larue mount, you won't be sorry.

I'd be interested in one of those old uppers. I've had a yen to build a retro gun and considering what you are doing. It would even be for a good cause.
Let me know.

I can build a lot of AR for that kind of money. With exactly what I want on it and a premium barrel (not that you have to have a premium barrel).
On the other hand that is msrp and not street price... So we'll just have to see what they have come up with.
Edited to add If sti is selling it I have a feeling it'll perform.

I look at the gun. Grab the gun by the Cmore with my strong hand and bring it up to the normal index point in front of my chest. Then acquire a grip with the week hand. Once I have the gun with my weak hand my eyes go to the first target as I am pressing the gun out.

Looks good.
I agree with jeff about the jp lightened stainless bolt carrier. The vtac sling is one of the best 3gun slings I have used.
I have a jard trigger in one of my rifles and after adjusting per the instructions and then adjusting it so that it didn't bounce and changing the spring that sets the trigger pull weight. It works fine.
Having said that I have a jp in my primary rifle...

I agree about the forward assist. Most of my guns have them but I can't conceive of a situation where I'd need it.

Does it have a carbine length gas system?
That might be the only drawback I could see. I usually prefer guns with a 16" barrel to have a mid-length gas system. (Seems to me like they shoot softer).
As to DPMS in general I have always had good luck with their parts.

You might try a program called the gimp (gnu image manipulation program).
It is something like a freeware version of photoshop.
It is fairly powerful and has a lot of capabilities.
It doesn't replace photoshop but works well for basic stuff.

Sure... I have done it several times I have found that I can fire several shots and get the gun on safe before I hit the ground.
As long as the shooter maintained control of the gun. Didn't sweep himself and didn't 180 there is nothing to keep him from engaging targets on the way down.

There's been allot of spoofs of this incident, but none better than this ...........
The only thing that spoof needs is for Neo-W to grab the shoe out of mid air and in one smooth fluid motion tag the guy with it right between the eyes.

Glad to see these guys fighting the good fight..
But that's the problem with having to fight a government entity... Once they decide to come after you they just keep comming. Unless you have a lawyer in the club willing to deal with the case pro bono for you, they can just out spend you.
Thankfuly some states have range protection acts to at least try to cut down on this kind of thing.
