Throw some cold blue on it so it doesn't rust as bad. Shoot it till it has broken in some and you get it like you want it. Then chrome it if you want to.

I have one, it is a good accurate AR with good fit and finish. The trigger was a standard ar style but wasn't crunchy just heavy. Lighter springs would help with that. I stuffed an rra nm trigger in it and I have been very satisfied with it.

The back of the taccom bolt looks like a standard ceiner profile (from the picture on their website) so I can't see why it wouldn't take a sear trip and an anti-bounce weight. But best to check with them.

I've heard it said that "luck" is the product of thorough preparation meeting with great opportunity.
While I have heard it said it is better to be lucky than good... both is even better if you can manage it.

The luck of the Gus continues...

Yep... they did show back up didn't they.

Does this have provision for a sear trip?
-
Decent back up but I would never use it for a primary sight.

Once upon a time if I recall right Sti used to make a polymer grip to fit their guns that took single stack mags. With all of this making metal grips for sti and sv guns is anyone making one that fits single stack mags? The idea would be to allow you to use a bushing barreled sti or svi in single stack just by changing the grip.
If I remember correctly the reason the polymer grips were no go for for this was because the grip wasn't metal. Seems like a metal version would fix that issue.

Yep... I'll have several of those for sure.

I think it is made by dpms, but I got mine from jp.

Well I guess they are going to get a chance to find out as Auburn out played Alabama and won on a run back field goal with 0 on the clock.

I shot one of the s&w piston guns at a local rifle match. It was on a side match stage with flash targets out to about 300 yards. It was suficiently accurate to be able to hit all the targets and didn't bounce around much more than a normal di gun (say one that didn't have low mass parts and adjustable gas). I think they use some flavor of the Adams Arms system, not sure which system the stag uses. It wouldn't be my choice for an AR but if you just wanted a piston gun it seemed like it would be a solid choice.

Thanks for being willing to do what you do.

Any time any of mags are used or hit the ground they are emptied and cleaned if necessary, then refilled.
-
Yep... I think the original reason for increasing the stroke length was to give the mag more time to get the next round pushed up into position.

Don't know if he still does it but Jim Anglin of Sailors Custom did a couple of the ones I have, and I have had good luck with them. (The other one I have was done by Fred Craig long long ago).

And from central alabama as well.

Don't you have one of these things? I didn't see it posted (unless I missed it?)

I'll be curious to see how this works out as well.. The last of the progressive machine ones I had stopped working so a replacement source would be a good thing.

JP?Did companies market a "3 gun" rifle back in 2000 or 1995? Or were they all just AR15's back then?
Clark Custom (I think they called it the Gator 15)
We need a Gardening Division in 3Gun now...
