baparker13
Getting reassigned to Dayton in the summer and I'm looking for nearby USPSA, IDPA, and steel matches. Been to the association websites but some of the club links are dead. Thanks Brian

mda
Try the following clubs in the area that have matches. http://www.miamisburgsportsmensclub.org/ Matches second Sunday of the month year round. Monday night practice November thru May indoors. located in South Dayton. http://www.pcsirange.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=1&Itemid=3 Site of several state IDPA and USPSA matches. This club has USPSA, IDPA, NRA Action Pistol, 3-gun, Steel challange, but is about 90 miles from Dayton south of Columbus. http://www.miamirifle-pistol.org/ Located east of Cincinati about 60 miles from dayton Not sure if Oxford club has a web site. Maybe still having IDPA but, unless someone steps up USPSA is done. There are a few more around Ohio but generaly these are within a 1-1.5 hours drive from Dayton. Come on out to Miamisburg when you get here and we'll get you going. MDA
baparker13
Thanks for all the info. I got my start two years ago in Las Vegas. I didn't know the great deal I had out at the Desert Sportsman Club until I moved to the DC/Northern Virginia Area. Looking forward to getting back into competition. Thanks again Brian
Chris Keen
Oh we shoot quite a bit out here, but it pales in comparison to NV & AZ. There's a USPSA match most every weekend during the warmer months, but you must be willing to drive 1/2 - 2+ hours for the most part. We have a steel match or 2 both North & South of Dayton, and if IDPA is yer thing you can find a few of them around some parts of Ohio as well. Sarge
Welcome to the forums and beautiful SW Ohio! It's a great place to find enough shooting to keep you busy. But like Chris said, "in the warmer months". There is still some shooting in the winter but it is pretty few and far between compared to March-October. +1 on the clubs MDA linked. Personally, I belong to the best club he referenced, Miami Rifle and Pistol. Nah, they are all great clubs that put on some good matches. Let us know when you are going to be in town and we'll go shootin'. Feel free to shoot me a pm as well or email.

chizzle
Don't forget to sign up for the Indiana State Match this year; it's a few hour drive for you, but should be a great match (10 stages + chrono).
