Dan H.
Sorry if this has been asked before but where is the best place to buy low recoil slugs thanks Dan H.
kbear38S
www.ammoman.com has pretty good prices on Federal Tactical slugs. Don't know if they're the best or not though.
PacMan
Not exactly an answer to your question, but we tried multiple slugs brands, and based on perceived recoil only - S&B standard slugs is almost as soft as the Fed Low Recoil stuff, but much cheaper at less than $2 a box. Singlestack
Try Cheaper Than Dirt. I get Remington low recoil slugs from them.

Do the S&B work with the Choate carriers set-up for 2 3/4?

PacMan
Not exactly, the S&B slugs do fit in my Choate Shell Caddy when I take the shim plate out, too close to say that these slugs will fit in all shell caddies. I've switched to Wolf full power slugs, they are exactly 70mm and fit nicely, I do pay a little more price in the perceived recoil, however. JWK
I've heard the low recoil slugs drop considerably after 25m; is this true?
benelli2
No, you must test the brand you want to shoot but I consistently hit out to 100 yds, mainly shooting the Remington Low recoil, whichever you choose test'em out and know your sight picture.
