European Championship 2004

Recommended Posts

Which forummembers are likely to attend the European Championship next year?

What division will you shoot or will you work as RO?

Which big matches do you want to include in the program to prepare for the EC?

I want to attend in standard division and it's most likely i will get one of the slots from the Dutch region.

It will be my first EC (started shooting IPSC in 2000)

The bigger matches i will try to shoot towards the EC

- Helmut Schwaiger Challenge Trophy (Vienna)

- 4th Ironhands (Lauf) or (same date) Mosquito Match Slovak Republic

- Med. Cup

- Euregio Open (belgium)

- Czech Nationals

Greetings from the Netherlands

Hi Adrie, Garfield, James, et all,

I don't think I'll ever be such a good shot to earn a slot for the EC (to be on the ESC range I had to work for match organization <_< ), but I will surely attend euromed cup 2004, thus see y'all there!

;)

Hi Adrie

no i am not IROA yet although i do have the points , the problem is none of L3 stages I have run have been supervised by an IROA official so I do not want to ask those IROA officials i know to act as a referee until they have seen me working a stage.By next year i will have done the Pistol L1 IROA course to add to the shotgun one i have done so what i intend to do is tag along with some of the Brit IROA guys and work on their stages so they can genuinely act as a reference.

back to the MAG trophy

according to the website the 04 match will be on 7 ,8 , 9 May but, the local countries (slovakia etc) all put a match on in May so the dates get set according to which weekend is free in that area. try www.magics.hu and follow the link (bottom left corner )for more info.

Belgium looks promising as I am free that weekend :D

coincidentally that is the weekend after the biggest SG match in the UK hint hint ;)

Hi guys,

A match in Belgium, huh? I'd really love to attend, primarily to annoy my old buddy Yvan Vogels.

If you see him, tell him "Amigo V" sends his love and remind him that I'm truly the World Champion Grand Master PL - buy Yvan a drink and he might explain ;)

Hi all,

I'll for sure try to take a spot on the danish team for the EC 2004. In preparation I'll shot mainly in Denmark and Sweden and money (and girlfriend) permitting maybe the Czec nationals to try the range.

James H. I'm looking forward to duking it out with the Exiles again this year at Rooster Mountain I & II :D

I've just submitted 8 stages for Rooster mountain and we'll see how many of them that will be part of the match. The kicking down the door stage will probably be there again in some form, it was much appreciated, and hopefully we don't have to work on it until midnight the day before this time. By the way thanx for all the help.

Swede 04, maybe you can get some action at the Hannover Cup,

look at http://www.ipsc-bang.de/Aktuelles/aktuelles.html

I won't be there because it's in between level II matches in the Netherlands

but otherwise i would be there.

Petra told me maybe there is enough room for 12 instead of 10 stages.

You can information about this match from her : petra@tutschke.de

Greetings

Adrie

  • 2 months later...

Just curious to see who is going to be in the CZECH REPUBLIC in August this year.

Three of us from SA recieved our slots and we are making our reservations.

Big problem seems to be how to get our ammo there, no carrier will allow more than 5kg per pax, drives me nuts  .

Getting excited cant wait.. :D

{edit} I merged these two thread together.

Nice to see that you received your slots already.

Shooters in the european regions (e.g. Netherlands) still don't know how much slots their region will get and if there will be enough slots for all members.

What division wil you be shooting?

Greetings

Adrie

Zorba,

you can try KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines). They have a provision for sportshooters which allows them to carry 10kg ammo. You should ask for permission when booking your ticket and it must be confirmed by the Dangerous Goods Management dept. of KLM

Hope this helps ...

Adrie,

The Netherlands has been assigned 21 slots so far, we just do not know exactly if that will be enough for our shooters as not everybody who showed initial interest has gone through the proper procedure of applying for a EC2004 slot.
