D.Hayden
When I see all the postings for the classifiers, someone will type in thier HF, and time, and someone else will tell them thier percentage. Where do these come from?
diehli
Some people have access to the list of HHF (High Hit Factors). USPSA quit making them public to limit sandbagging. Comparing your HF to the HHF gets your national percentage, i.e. what class level you shot at.

shred
Everybody I know that has the HHF list either computed it themselves or traded with other people that did-- none came from USPSA. The math isn't hard, its tracking down match results for each of them that gets tedious.
Guest Larry Cazes
1) Do a google search for the classifier "CM xx-yy" 2) Record HF and USPSA# for one competitor. 3) goto USPSA.org and look up the percentage for this entry. 4) It's all algebra from here using your HF. eric nielsen
You can really chase your own tail on this subject. The HHF is what they divide into YOUR hit factor to give you a percentage. Because uspsa only updates the HHF so often, what you can and do have is several people receiving a 100% for exceeding the old HHF. If for example the "official" HHF for 99-xyz is 10.00, anyone who beats it is 100%. 10.01 or 15.95, doesn't matter. Until the NEXT official HHF. Simplest way to go up in class is to write this down on every classifier scoresheet: "Dear USPSA, please accept this as a valid score even if it is more than 15% above the top of my class. Thanks" and your initials. This works. Saves you from shooting a 75.01% and getting it tossed if you're in C class (40 to 60%) or a 90% if you're in B class. Not necessary for A class and above. As far as "knowing" when you're going to move up - forget it. Just keep plugging away - shooting well will get you there, eventually.
