Dillon CV-750 Very Hot..Normal ?

Recommended Posts

My tumbler gets hot enough to get my attention right now if I grab it under the bowl to empty it into the separator. It's been the same way for the last 15 years so I don't get too worried about it. I run mine for 45 minutes per load which cleans the brass just fine.

CYa,

Pat

My 750 gets hot also. I keep an eye on it but I doubt if it's anything to worry about.

Mine got alarmingly hot after 2+ hour runs for a little while and then stopped working. I had a problem with this amount of heat. Oh well....I guess we each have our own comfort level for this type of thing.

Hmm ... a warm/hot tumbler probably works better than not if you're cleaning lube from the case. Heat would make the lube more fluid enough to be absorbed more by the media.

I worry a bit about fire risk though.
