Aircooled6racer
Hello: The CV-500 I have gets warm and is starting to smell like electric burning but it still works for now When it dies I will get another electric motor for it or maybe get the big brother for tumbling 223 brass. Thanks, Eric
larry cazes
Justsomeguy, How comfortable are you with the thing getting that hot?
Pat Miles
My tumbler gets hot enough to get my attention right now if I grab it under the bowl to empty it into the separator. It's been the same way for the last 15 years so I don't get too worried about it. I run mine for 45 minutes per load which cleans the brass just fine. 45junkie
My 750 gets hot also. I keep an eye on it but I doubt if it's anything to worry about.
larry cazes
My 750 gets hot also. I keep an eye on it but I doubt if it's anything to worry about. Mine got alarmingly hot after 2+ hour runs for a little while and then stopped working. I had a problem with this amount of heat. Oh well....I guess we each have our own comfort level for this type of thing. Edited August 7, 2009 by larry cazes
charliez
Hmm ... a warm/hot tumbler probably works better than not if you're cleaning lube from the case. Heat would make the lube more fluid enough to be absorbed more by the media. I worry a bit about fire risk though.
