Charles Bond
If I was to show up, what airport would I fly in to? It would really depend on fares. It is a easy drive from either Memphis, TN or Birmingham, AL or even Nashville, TN.

hopalong
Memphis airport is 1 1/2 hours Birmingham is 2 3/4 hrs Birmingham is a smaller airport and as far as that goes is most likely easier to get your guns in and out. Huntsville is even smaller, and is 1 1/4 hrs away. Got 11 entries this weekend, we are now a little over half full. IF you are sitting on the fence you'd better get off and get y our entries in. Hopalong Edit to add Huntsville, and correct the time for Birmingham. Edited August 17, 2009 by hopalong

Well if you fly it through Memphis, or B'ham, make sure your guns are easy to get out.....or have them out already. LOL

LChico
Any spots left open? Any guess on the hotel cost? (Close is good enough) Yes, we still have slots. Hotels in town by price - they are ALL close - Corinth MS is not that big: Econo Lodge $55, Comfort Inn $70, Hampton Inn $81, Holiday Inn Express $84 Prices are from Expedia. hopalong
Thanks Linda, I heard from the Hotel finally, She said she'd get with me tomorrow Friday at the latest. We're past the half way full mark. If anyone wants to shoot all day Friday we'll open about 5 spots up for that maybe (we'll see how the sponsor/staff work out) Hop
hopalong
As of this AM, (08/21/2009) we have 36 registered shooters with at least 10 more saying they are incoming. (4 from the AMU) We are limiting this match to 75 (some of these will shoot all day Friday). Linda will start a wait list if it needs to be done (She's the KING...errr Queen of waitlists and stuff) ROUND COUNT !!!!! PISTOL......71 (Yes we have steel) Rifle..........75 (Yes we have steel, and little bitty targets ! ) Shotgun.....65 (Yes we'll have some fun, tough, fast, slow ect) On the Shotgun, 4 slug (I don't particularly like slugs, we already have a center fire rifle) and 4 buckshot ....(you may want to bring more, just in case) We tried to keep the round count pretty even, looks like we did pretty good. Hop Edit for spelling ! Edited August 21, 2009 by hopalong
Mike P
Any idea yet on the max distance for rifle? I realize that they don't have to long shots to be tough shots, it'd just be helpful to have a max to work from.

hopalong
We're not done hacking and cutting the forest down in North Mississippi, but max 300 is about right. Depending on a few other things it might be a little closer. (299 ish) Safariland sent us a new 1x4 scope for the prize table, works good. (oh, did I mention I'll test drive all the neat toys for the prize table just to make sure no one is dissapointed !!! ) HOP
