Neomet
Well, today is the 98th anniversary of the 1911 becoming the official sidearm of the US Army. Nicely done Mr. Browning, nicely done.

G-ManBart
My Grandfather carried this one in World War One. Wow, you don't run into many nice 1911's like that any more! Very cool even without the family connection

SiG Lady
Wow, what a handsome gun! Look at all that gorgeous usage wear! And a family heirloom, at that. I had the occasion to shoot a lovingly-restored same vintage 1911 as my first experience with that platform (in fact, the owner loaned it to me for at least a month). Wow, whatta nice gun it was, too! It sold me on the 1911 and I bought a Kimber shortly thereafter. Been totally sold on them ever since.

redmanfixit
Single Stack is the "one true path"!! There are others that are worthy, this is so. Ahhh.....Single Stack. I am sure that if the Deity shoots a handgun, it's probably a 1911 A1. Customized by John M. himself!
