army_eod
I seem to remember a long time ago reading "Those who know do not speak - Those who speak do not know." I forget which Master said that. That said, I am not a Buddhist or Taoist per se.

Tzygä
"Those who know do not speak - Those who speak do not know." If he/she is very wise there is a lot of silence moments around him/her.
benos
That reminds me of one from, I think, Chuang Tzu. (Big-time paraphrasing) When asked, often the sage remains silent. Not that he considers silence good, but for fear that he may be misunderstood. be
edgerat
The fool knows many things, and talks about them endlessly. The sage knows that one can not know that one knows and remains silent unless asked for an opinion which is all that is possible Lao Fzu

MichaelC
What do you do if you see the Budda ? Invite him to join me for a cold one on the porch. be If I am focused on the thought that the Buddha is 'out there', then I must kill the Buddha. Then see the Buddha within me. stinsonbeach
All this sounds very wise...but what have we other than mind to mind thru that less-than-perfect-vehicle: language. We all have different symbol-sets & therefore are never quite understood x another - but what the hell - have fun anyway(z)...unless of course you live on the mountain top. ...& contrary to some grand pronouncement x John Donne - all men are islands..."out there/here" all x yourself?...oh my! Deal w/ it...it's fun once you get to the part where you real-ize it is the complete truth. -jb
