.355 Black Bullets Load Like FMJ?

Was just wondering if when loading for a .355 molycoated lead bullet, (Black Bullets 130 gr TC) do you load to FNJ specs? And what powder would be good for a minor load with these? I like a snappy feel as I think my sights return faster. Let me know if you have used these before, and what powder/primer combo you go with. Thanks again,

Jimmy

I am currently burning through some IMR SR 7625. If that's a good choice I will just buy more.

If I remember correctly they said in there sight to load using lead recipies, but I would either call them or check there website.

+1 for lead

and the site suggests powders to try to cut down on the smoke factor

I run Precision Black Bullets, same thing, in .40, and they usually run about a 100ft faster

then the FMJ data. You have to chrono everything to see what you'll end up at but generaly

lead runs faster then FMJ with the same load ...

Hmmm, I would think that they would be much like a 147gr in 9mm for smoke, and would suggest Solo 1000 or WST. I tried 7625 when I was testing the 147gr precisions and it wasn't too bad, but slower burning for sure. It's personal preference as to which recoil impulse you prefer, but I leaned toward the fast and snappy Solo and WST vs the slow push of 7625.

Oh ya, load like lead.

On their site all I get is product info and orderind information even though I am a registered account there.

I guess I will just give them a call. If I can find a number.

go into the customer quotes or frequent questions sections for more info

I loaded 200 of the 147 BBs over 3 grains of titegroup. Smoky. Not bad, but smoky.

I'm going out and grabbing some Solo 1000 to try. Burn rate looks like it'll feel titegroup/claysish, but without the smoke due to the much cooler burn.

I like the Black Bullets so far, pretty accurate and definitely cost effective compared to my current Precision Deltas.
