scribble
That was good. I remember shooting in the outer rind the UW campus feild house many years ago and it looked allot like that range, but 2 stories of bays.

uscbigdawg
Interesting to say the least. I like the particular shop worker/instructor. Basically, came off as a normal guy that just enjoys shooting for the sake of shooting. How interesting? No ultra rigid firearms guy and a lesson for others, didn't talk to the interviewer standing with arms crossed and sunglasses on (i.e. the typical posture in which you see folks being interviewed on ANYTHING firearms related). Showing that we're normal people garners an easier understanding. Just my $0.02. Rich

03k64
I used to work in that building in the early 90s. Either that range wasn't there yet or I just didn't notice.

sskp1
I't refreshing that it is in NYC, just goes to show you that every desert has a oasis. Kevin :blizzard:

kimel
Hmmm...so wearing heels to the next match might help? Nawwwww...... Every now and then Slate surprises me. The wife gets their RSS feed and sends me the stories she thinks I'll enjoy and I have been surprised at the number of pro-gun stories there in the past several months. ninefan
The *one* gun range in Manhattan. Ouch. Good report though. Although I wouldn't call shooting .22's much of a vice. kimel
.22s are just the "gateway caliber". Get ya hooked on those and then move you up to the bigger stuff.

ledavatar
Too bad in NYC you can only shoot a .22 rifle without a pistol permit. Anything else you would need to spend $600+ with a 6 month wait for a permit.
