bountyhunter
My IPOD charges the battery from the USB port using a cable. Why won't the stupid thing play at the same time? I still had half a charge on the battery, I just wanted to top it off while I listened. Kind of annoying it locks up the thing while it charges. Kingman
yep, unless you have a specific adapter that charges and plays. If it is hooked to the computer it is done.
D.Hayden
If you're on Windows.. leave it plugged in, and 'eject' the drive.. don't stop it.. works fine
Micah
Pick up a good after market outlet charger and avoid the whole ordeal.
bgary
Or just listen thru iTunes instead of the ipod while it is charging...
SA Friday
I got a new IPod couple of months ago. If you are using just the charging adapter and not attached to a computer, you can listen to the IPod. The key is to start listening to it before plugging it into the wall charger. If you start charging it and then try to listen to it, it will not let you.
D.Hayden
Or just listen thru iTunes instead of the ipod while it is charging... The company work for.. yes, they're not that bright.. put in a local policy to prevent itunes.exe from running... it was pretty simple to get around.. but after that, I found that it's much easier to have Media Player sync up with my iPod, rather than letting iTunes decide what was best for me.. lol
