Do you think you could post the pics for us non-members? I don't want to join anymore forums, I have too many now that I am a member of. Thanks,

Brazos SC Shooter
I can appeciate the creativity to build one, but why would you want that small an Open gun.
mscott
Isn't it Modified in IPSC that has to fit in the box? That was what I was thinking with the picture of the gun in the box.
jasmap
Those are actually photos of a Modified gun. There are pics in the IPSC Global Village of an Open G19 though.
Harmon
IPSC modified division. Basically 40 caliber open guns that fit in the IPSC box 40 caliber min for major. I do like the scope mount, anyone know who makes it? harmon
Flexmoney
I can appeciate the creativity to build one, but why would you want that small an Open gun. I feel the same about Modified division, in general. I don't think the thread starter is talking IPSC Modified though? You really only need enough barrel to stabilize the bullet and get the velocity up to the needed level. There is no sight radius gain when using a red dot. I'd go with a G17...but, I might play around with a G19 as a test bed if that is what I had around.
vrmn1
I like the mount for the Docter optic scope.
Radical Precision Designs
Anybody ever seen a open G19? Is it possible as far as comps, magwells, etc.... In another thread I posted the picture below. It shows both the full size and the "compact" size. The three basic calibers here are 9mm (19), .40 S&W (23) and .357Sig (32) which share the same frame size. The hardware (magwell, etc.) from the the bigger frame (17, 22, etc.) will fit with a little bit of coaching. But the magwell can push the hand up a little bit on folks having big mittens. Otherwise I refer to my "compact" framed Open Glocks as Open Glock 'Shortys'
TimWarner
Those comps are pretty damned sexy Venry.
