Jim Norman
Iggy, Louie orders up this weather every year. Has it ever been really any different? Mud and NY State Rifle Match, Purfect Togetha Notice that Monday is sunny. Why not? The match is over. Jim

We would like to thank all the shooters that made New York State Rifle Championship a sucessfull match. Web site should be repaired this week and scores up by the end of the week. I have to give Chris a day or two to rest up. thanks again Louie Edited May 5, 2008 by hockeydadnu27
Jim Norman
Louie and Staff. Great job, great match. Only one thing missing. It didn't rain while we were shooting, in fact the sun actually cam out for most of the day. Seriously, this is a GO TO match. fun, but definately NOT easy. Shots out to about 300 plus meters. shots as close as to nealy blow the pasters off, but no real hosers, you really had to keep your mind on what you were doing. We will be back next year! Heck, I'd like to shoot it once for score and on day two, shot it again just for fun! Jim
sbmd
Great match....I only have 2 words for the long range stage! Simply humbling! Already starting to plan my attendance in 2009.
L1011
Louie,Dave,Guy,Matt,Chris, et al. The future of political incorrectness, in New York, could not be in better hands. Thanks for a great match ! ! Mike
Dan Sierpina
Definately a fun match(again). It's nice to see some rifle skills needed for a rifle match. An appropriate amount of mental illness went into the other stages too.
maineshootah
The Maine crew even with a 10 hour drive will be back next year. It was a good mix of near and far. Thanks Louie!
NovaShooter
This was my first NY Rifle match and will most definitely not be my last!! Thanks for a great match! I now know I need to practice my long distance shots. MIG---Maybe next year I'll whip ya!!! Jayson
Mig
Another great match - good job Louie and crew. I think I'll be in shock if there was no mud or rain. Looking forward to next year's match. . . . need to practice my long distance shots The long range shots make or break a good rifleman . . . hard to practice when the longest range we have is 50yds. iggyort
Louie: I was totally disappointed with the 2008 Match. NO RAIN. I feel cheated and demand a re-shoot !!!! Great Match see you next year. Iggyort
L1011
Yeah! But, there was still plenty of mud. I still have half of Bay 6 on my boots. Edited May 5, 2008 by L1011
BillL223
Fun match. I think I shot as many rounds at the pesky little 300m plate as I did on all the rest of the targets on the long range stage. The head shots (excuse me, PC un-correct, , upper A/ B zone) shots on the "rifle" targets questioned my ability to call shots.
Luis Leon
Great match....I only have 2 words for the long range stage! Simply humbling! Already starting to plan my attendance in 2009. Thats how I felt at last years' 2007 match, I had to wait a long year for redemption on the long-range stage. This year I got 21 of the 24 hits, compared to last year of maybe seven hits on steel. This is a great match and one I sign up for as soon as the applications go out. My buddies and I shot on Saturday on Squad 4. You get to run your AR15 or long gun of choice all day long, whats not to like. Though they did skimp on the mud this year. best regards, Luis Leon
