38superman Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Now that single stack has become official I'm wondering about the legality of various modifications. The general rule of thumb in production has always been that any part that is offered on a production gun as a factory option is legal if you add it. I wonder if this reasoning will carry over to Single Stack? Specifically, I'm interested in mag wells (such as the SVI 1911) custom hammer or trigger, fiber optic sights, and ambi safety. The provisional rules did allow for mag wells and fiber optics. However, there seems to be no mention of these one way or another in the new rule book. Am I missing something? Enlighten me.
