Will Abrahams
i spoke with a sales rep from SVI about this. he made it sound like they had the green light on this and it would only be a matter of time... im not sure what the advantage would be over the plastic? maybe someone can clue me in... Matt Cheely
With the higher strength of aluminum, I imagine they could come up with a grip that's smaller in diameter than the current design.

And that is the only reason to me why I am looking for aluminium grip.
yoshidaex
if it is indeed slimmer, i'd be in for a few. i wonder if it will come checkered like the original grip or smooth with some grip tape on it?

FM Sure, if I can use my tuned S_I mags in a caspian I actually like the S_I better because the grip isn't as long (or feels shorter) as the Caspain. Sorry for thread drift. TMC
I don't know about alum. but I wish STI would make the grip that takes single stake mags again for my 22 conversion. I personally feel metal framed guns transfer more felt recoil having shot both my Para and SV back to back with the same ammo. I think the polymer acts as a buffer. just my .
