What I was most happy about was the fact that I had zero penalties for the match, zero make ups on steel, and only 3 deltas for the match! This match was very challenging for single stack shooters. There was a lot of unloaded gun starts to 8 round arrays. A lot of having to stuff mags in mag pouches and a lot of trouble if you missed anything. It was a very fun match though! I needed one more classifier in Open so as not have to shoot as a Master in Open at PROAM so I just shot open with my SS.....Funny thing happened! I was 3rd GM and would liked to have done better but had a few brain issues. Equipment ran great though so it was all on me. Next weekend its IN sectional. Knew Tony Hawkins was going to be there so I would have a measuring stick so to say. I felt I shot a OK match. I had some awesome stages but had a couple of mikes and a Death Jam that cost me a lot of points. Tony Shot it Clean, and not many did that so that is pretty impressive! The main thing I got to work on from this match is where to shoot a target through soft cover when you can only see its head and call your last shot when moving out so that you can MOVE OUT! Only thing I saw, was draw could be worked on a little, also when shooting on the move get those feet moving, esp on that L stage, the targets looked faily close, seemed you could have been moving and shooting faster. Had a NS/M on the last stage point blank that shouldn't have happened, Barry was kind enough to point it out in the video . Just got on the Trigger a little to soon. Had a mag I didn't seat well trying to go to fast but still had a decent time on the stage. Shot the classifier high standards only down 6 but just wasn't fast enough to count. Shot it not to lose the stage not really to move up. Should have shot the 4th stage like the first stage. Eliminate the right side first at the start.
