bomadera
Anybody shooting V.V. 310 or 320 with 147 9mm? I had a load (I think it was Matt Burkett's) but I can't find the info.
lowlands
Anybody shooting V.V. 310 or 320 with 147 9mm? I had a load (I think it was Matt Burkett's) but I can't find the info. I load 3.5 grain N320 behind Speer 147 grain TMJ bullets. Works like a charm, accurate and nice recoil. About 130 from a Glock 17.
cruiten
I load 3.6 grains of N320 under a Zero 147 grain JHP with Winchester brass and WSP. My OAL is 1.142 and this gives me a PF of around 140 out of my Glock 34 with a factory barrel. You can go down to 3.5 grains, but I like better at 3.6 grains. This is one sweet load... BR
147 gr. Berry plated over 3.4 n320 loaded at 1.145 out of a G34 with stock barrel made 142 pf at Mile High match recently. Temp. was in the high 80s. I went to 3.3, but have not yet chrono'd it. I'm guessing it will make 135-37 pf. As evidenced by the responses so far - YMMV. Cheers. -br Edited June 26, 2007 by joker22
Chris Keen
I loaded 3.3 grains of N-320 under a Precision Delta, or a Zero, or a Rainier 147 gr bullet, using Federal Small Pistols, and most any kind of once-fired brass. Almost any config. of these bullets produced about a 130 PF. Very soft out of a stock Glock 17. Took me all the way to Master in Production. * Obviously you need to check a good load book, like the LEE manual for a starting load & OAL. * Edited June 26, 2007 by CHRIS KEEN
MoNsTeR
Berry's 147gr RNs over 3.1gr(?) N310. My data isn't handy so just use that as a ballpark and use all appropriate caution. Wonderful load, sounds and feels like a 22 but knocks poppers over with zeal and authority.

I use 3.4gr of N320 under the Lasercast 145gr LRN.
Keninaz
Be careful with the N310 with that heavy a bullet. Kb's are not fun. (Don't ask me how I know this). Ken

Gary1911A1
Don't use 310 in 9MM to make PF. It will be to hot and unsafe.
DougCarden
AHEM.... please do a search for VV310 and 147 grain bullets....we already been there, done that. If the bullets are loaded long....1.120-1.135 or so the loads are fine with VV 310. It takes a experienced reloader to work up to it, but I can tell you I have been shooting that load for a couple of years and have had no problems..... Good luck, DougC
