Neil Beverley
A really tough match needed nothing short of excellence for Kurt to take an overnight lead from Mike Darby of the UK. Quite frankly he now looks unbeatable for this match. More next week.

Jim Norman
how about a link to the stages? Photos of the 'as-builts' would be great. TIA Jim Edited June 11, 2007 by Jim Norman
kellyn
Don't let Mikey be bashful, he shot brilliantly, just not as brilliantly as Kurt! It was a great match but the best part was the fantastic company. Thanks for the excellent time, stages, and comraderie. Team America not only won the match (thanks to Kurt), we also defeated the English at pool (so sorry Mikey), grenade tossing, and even drinking on the last night! Neil Beverley
I've got a few photographs but not necessarly the ones to show off the stages. It's probably best to let Kurt, Trapr and Kelly comment on the match. The match stats were: 14 stages, 199 rounds, shot in one day. 1 stage 24 rounds slugs 3 stages bird/buck mix - competitors choice - each with paper, metal and clay targets 10 stages birdshot only Edited June 12, 2007 by Neil Beverley

mike.45
Thanks Keith, he is one tough hombre to crack with a scattergun !! I am amazed he shot as well as he did considering the amount of dark beer and steak we managed to consume the week before the match - my Dad's strong homebrew keg was consumed within 4 days when Kel and Kurt were doing a tag team on it ! mike.45
Kurt was ill and I really thought I was going to win but he just crushed me. How I really hate him. But at least I beat Kelly, I never ever, ever, ever, thought that I could best a shooter of his caliber. He is truly a great shooter and a pleasure to watch. I learned so much. jim pickering
Hi ya all, Not that this is relavant to the previous quotes and not being a major threat to those shooting at the Open, i was supposed to be there for the British Open to pose one major challenge to Kurt, Trapper and Kelly etc...................................................THat was to stop you Americans bragging you beat the Uk at the Ilchester Bar. Although there were some good representitives, they lacked the "veteran, major, lieutenant" call me what you like. I WILL be there next year and looking forward to any challenger Jim Pickering
